I have been getting calls from this number. Why?

I am sure this is a scam. When it shows on my phone (I have an iphone 4) it shows as "43". Which is strange!! It's an indian man with a very heavy accent. He left a message yesterday that was rude, and threatening. So I answered next time he called and we got into a very nasty argument. He yelled at me when I told him he had the wrong number (which he did, he's trying to reach my ex husband) and told me I was a liar. I got very angry and got rude back at him. He demanded that I let him speak to my ex, whom I haven't spoken to in 6 months. Then he hung up. He called me right back and asked me how my day was... I said fine, and he asked who he was speaking with. Of course I knew who it was and I told him that he should know since he called me, and he got mean again! He started yelling all crazy and DEMANDED me to tell me who he was. He told me if I wanted to be on the safer side and not lose everything at any cost (whatever that means) then I better tell him. HA!! Makes me sick!!! So whatever you do do NOT give them any info.

My boyfriend just received an urgent message on our home phone from a woman, "Robin," who claimed to work for a law firm. She said that our friend--whose name she butchered--had retained their firm to help fight SSN theft and had used my BF as a reference and to get more info.

We called the friend and he hadn't heard of the law firm or experienced any SSN theft. The friend had listed my BF as a reference on a home equity loan about 5 years ago (without his knowledge), but had never provided anything beyond a name and home phone. We didn't/won't return "Robin's" urgent call.

Got a call from a man named David Smith about a case being filed and a suit against my ssn and for me to contact them right away.

These same people have called friends of mine trying to get information and one called me and left a messege on my phone that he was coming to arrest me and take me behind a bus and he would make it his job to make my life misserable that was his promise to me

This guy named Shawn/Sean Smith, who is Indian-middle eastern sounding has been calling me for 2 weeks and is threating to file a lawsuit against my ssn unless I pay his company (PCS) Public Service Consolidation $602.00.

Got a call from this person. Claiming that I owe money. Yeah right!

i hjave a guy calling me at work everyday numerous times a day talking about he has questions about my social security benefits,when the sad part is i work full time and dont recieve social security benefits

I got the same thing.  They call every few months trying to get money out of me and tell me know I am going to jail.  Payday loans are not permitted in GA and that if they were going to take me to court, I need to be given notice by mail or by summons.   They hung up on me when I asked for a fax number so I can fax them papers that I will be filing with the Attorney General.  Be ware this is a scam.   I told them to take me to court and since I have documentation of harassment as well as being threatened to be taken to pack my bags and get ready to go to jail.

Same thing happened to me, he called me at work and I said I couldn't talk right then, then he called me back( the caller ID said #6) and told me signed up with Credit Advance USA, but I never used them nor did I get a dime from them and he said I need to owe $945, if I didn't it would go through court then it would cost me $3000 and my credit report would be ruined, so he faxed the paper work which look legal, but the phone # didn't go through either, but somehow he was able to get hold of when I told him about why his phone doesn't ring he said he was in a meeting, but till now still doesn't ring.So I paid him like a dummy, then I went to email Cash Advance USA, ( which is now Cash Advance Now) to give them a piece of my mind on this matter, then they emailed and told me that I don't owe them anything, that's when they said to google the phone and that's where I read all your comments on this guy, I went to my bank to cancel my card. I'm still is going to fight for this.

I keep getting calls from this number ,the man is of middle eastern decent and says he,s going to file a law suit against me. he says he is from a law firm .

The phone number (347)-474-7041 has been calling my job and home with several different phone numbers and threats. I have been threatened with jail and lawsuits. I have reported each instance to the Better Business Bureau and not sure who they are or what they want. My personal info was given out on the internet and my bank account has been hit several times. My bank has been great and retrieved the money back. The last call was today with the above number and he identified himself as Neil Johnson with a heavy Indian accent.

I have been getting the same thing, sometimes the number comes up as "0" or "0000000000" and there are many other numbers. The one today was (347) 474-7041 and called my job. This is being reported to the better business bureau and if you have time, please do the same. These people are insane! I am sure it is some type of scam...read my post from today. I too receive these calls.  This is a scam.  At times, when I hang up on them, they call me back repeatedly so one time after having received many calls from them back-to-back, I called them back and when they answered, hung up on them and dialed them again.  I kept doing this until finally the guy who kept answering the phone said he would stop calling me.  He did for a few months, now they are calling again.  I just don't answer.  It bothers me because they call me at work.  I don't care if they call my cell because I just ignore the call.  I have also filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission.  They still call, however.  I would like to know how to get them to stop calling.  I may change cell numbers but I can't change my work number!

My friends and family along with myself have been getting calls from this office - they are using the name PCS Law Firm.  I know it is a scam but how do I stop it as I am scared about my credit since they seem to have some of my info.  What can be done?

I have been getting calls from the number 347-474-7041. Man with heavy accent says he is filing legal charges against my SSN for some unknown reason. When he gave me the last 4 digist of my SSN number it was wrong. He also wanted to know my phone number. He called me, he should have known the number. Sounds like a scam.

Same here calls threatening and being just a mean man. Apparently he is a thug that no one taught how to reach people. Either that or that was his job previously must of worked for the mob cuz he is down right rediculous. First of all NO LAW office conducts themselves in this manner.

I got the same phone call from this company, the guy left a message stating that it was very important that I call him back he stated that his name was Mike. On my caller ID it comes up NAME UNAVAILABLE 1209. So I returned the phone with the number he left 3474747041, the guy on the phone was very rude stated legal action was filed against me, I asked him for what he stated I took out a payday loan and the money was deposited in my bank account, I told him to prove it because I have all my back statements since I opened my account. These people have nothing else to do with their time. I told him I have filed a police report against him for harassment, he hung up on me!!!!!!!

they are saying that they have 3 law suites against my socal security number, ive never heard of this company before.i would realy like to know where they are getting this information considering my credit is spotless. im furious they wont stop calling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am receiving calls from a Eric Johntson from the law office of BCS or so he says.....saying he is goin to contact my place of work if I don't return his call or at least my lawyer. This doesn't show up as a phone number on my caller ID it shows up as 403 number......so that sends up a red flag there that it is a scam. I know everyone is hard up for money but this is getting to be a pain. What can I do to get them to stop calling me?

What I found to work is keep calling them and talk [***]. Tell them that your a lawyer or your friend is one and your onto them also ask for there bar #. Every lawyer has one and has to give it to you. Also get a police report where you live about this problem this will help you in the long run if they keep calling you. I have done this and it works. O ya the bar # they give you is fake.
