- ToddSame thing here. I asked to connect him on a three way call with our tech support team and he hung up. I called back and he said that we must have been disconnected. I asked some more questions on his address and company name and he said they were in Florida. he said that he was with Windows Support and something about being a Hilton associate. His number traced back to a location in New York Bronx. I have reported it to our FBI computer fraud team and they are looking into it. DO NOT DO ANYTHING THAT THESE PEOPLE ASK YOU TO DO OR YOUR IDENTITY AND POSSIBLY MORE WILL BE STOLEN.

- MMRGot suspicious call from "My Windows Support" and talked to Ban who had Asian-Indian accent. I told him I needed to call back later and got this phone # 347-280-2300. When I called back, new person told me company name was BCI technical support and they were receiving error messages from my computer. When I pressed them to find out how they could know anything about my computer and if they were contracting with someone. They said they were not working with anyone else. I pressed them for more answers and they hung up one me. I'm contacting local authorities next since I cannot seem to locate any info about their company on the internet.

- Lisa Clare| 1 replyI was called and the fellow said that he wanted me to hit the button beside the "ctrl" button on my computer and the letter "d" or "r" at the same time. He told me that we had a bad internet connection or something and that there were malicious bugs entering my computer. I asked him his company name and he said he was from a Windows Software Company. He sounded like he was from India. When I pushed, he said that his company name was HWAP PC Support and his name was Rob Willson. I asked him what number he was calling me from and he said 347-480-2300. When I asked "where" he was calling me from he said "Florida". I told him that I'd have to get my husband to talk to him and that he'd call him back, he said his company closes at 12noon and that they could call back in 1 hour. VERY SUSPICIOUS!

- DRI got this call from Allan Smith, sounded more like Ali Sheik.... wanted to help me fix my computer from hackers and that if I didn't my computer would shut down. Apparently this issue was found by them on a international IP address. When I asked for his IP address to research origin of contact he hung up. Hmmmm... sounded pretty fishy to me. I don't think anyone in Brooklyn on a cell phone can help me here in Canada fix my so called computer issues. Caveat emptor!!!
- Doug E JThe same happened to me this morning as all the other reports on this board except the guys name was Mike Ronald. Said he was from Microsoft PC support. I asked for dial back number and it was 347-480-2300. Sounded Asian also said they were in Brooklyn, NY
- SandyGot the same call this am - gentleman described himself as working with Microsoft and needed to fix the problem I reported this am with my computer. Very instant that we check it now because I had reported this situation 50 times this month alone. My computer was not responding so I would send the error message and report it. Well I figured he was honest and guess what! NOT! Number is no longer in use and the company BIP Software took $351 of our money. Thank goodness I did not give him bank info. Now I have informed the bank card people and stopped any future dealings and will be get new cards.

- LesleyI just got a call from a man called "Jacob Michaels" identifying himself as being from "Microsoft Health and Support Dept." At least, I think that's the dept.; the caller could barely speak English. He said they have been receiving warning messages for several days advising that hackers are trying to access my computer. When I asked for the company number so that I could call back, he asked why I want to call back. He was calling from a (604) area code number. He eventually gave me 1.347.480.2300. I asked for a file number, and he said there wasn't one.
- Caller: (604) 678-5888
- Theresa.abiSpent 30 minutes on the phone to an Indian man named 'Kevin white' very suspicious. Didn't reveal any personal information but allowed him to access my laptop. I don't use it for personal information but he gave me the number 3474802300 and the name of the company. I looked up the number and confronted him, only then to be handed over to another man claiming if you type any number into google it says its a scam(not true) he became very heighted and was claiming they weren't a scam. I then told him to stop all connections with my laptop or I would get the police involved, he just laughed and said 'bye' I didn't hang up first, I could hear him laughing and saying 'are you still there I said bye' to which he then hung up, will be discussing with my father and considering getting the police involved. I am from the UK. THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT TRUST. Also it took about 10 seconds before someone said hello on the other side, if yo get this hang up straight away.

- AlexGot my second call in as many months from Kevin who claims to be calling from computer maintained Brooklyn NY his phone number is 347-480-230. Kevin was claiming he received messages from my computer that someone is trying to hack it. He wants me to let him into my computer. I figured it was a scam so I went looking for my computer in the house. It seems I misplaced it. It took me 15 minutes to find it under the guest bedroom . Then I played with Kevin till I got him to hang up. At least I took time away from him actually scamming someone.
