I recieved calls from this number stating that I commited fraud and were going to start court proceedings. The person called me constantly with a bogus name at home and work. Harrassing me and my coworkers.

Got a call from 347-504-0773 saying they were bci and were taking me to court for not paying a payday loan that i never had. they have  foriegn accents with american names report them and Dont give them any money

These people state they are BCI (Bureau of Crime Investigation).  The 347 area code is a NY area code and in that area code there is a Bureau of Criminal Investigations.  Be AWARE that BCI and Bureau of Crime Investigations is a FRAUD AND A SCAM.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, SS #, ETC OR YOU WILL BE GREATLY HARMED!!!  I have reported this to law enforcement here in the state of Florida.  I suggest if you've had any contact with BCI that you report it to your local law enforcement and your telephone company IMMEDIATELY!!!  If you dialed the 347 number back, since this goes to an offshore country, you may be getting a fat bill next month.  You better call your phone company to correct it now.  If you wait until you receive a bill, you will have to pay it.

I have been receiving several very rude calls from a person identifying himself as Officer Kenneth Smith from this number, very heavy Indian accent, extremely rude.  Threatening to have me arrested.  Keeps calling my work number.  How can I get this to stop?  As I was typing this message he called again.  Has identified himself as calling from Bureau of Criminal Investigations.  Yesterday I talked to another person at this number who also was extremely rude and told me it was regarding an outstanding loan and refused to give me any information.  He also threatened to call my employer, leaving messages saying "do you want to be arrested and dragged kicking and screaming in front of every one you know?"

HELP!!

Has any one had any success in getting the people from the 347-504-0773 to stop calling them making and leaving threatening messges?

I got call from BCI saying that i have debts on payday lone,I have check with my bank they was right........AND as i read the comments i though that thay are scamers but next morning about 5 cops was at my door step with all legal documents .....I have been worn by BCI that if you want to resolve this matter they can help ,but i did not listen , I had big problem.......................I got problem resolve by BCI out of court...

I SERIOUSLY doubt this is a legit post as the grammar is as bad as the accents on the phone.  This post IS from a BCI employee.

I received a call from this number today, first came through as private caller at my business, claimed they were looking for an employee of mine. The person they were looking for no longer works for me, when I told the caller "Roger Williams" that the employee no longer worked here, he started screaming at me telling me I was harboring a criminal and that he would come and "F" me up.. He continued to scream obscenities and I hung up on him, he continued to call back and scream obscenties at my other employees answering the phone.  I had again taken the phone and told him not to call my business again and he stated" I'll "F"ing call anytime I want you "F"ing w***e..
Who the hell are they people and where do they get off calling my business and swearing and threatening people?? I called my local city police and filed a report.  I do Thank Roger for giving me his phone number.  
I called that number back and asked to speak with a person in authority and I got his boss, who in turn called him over to the phone. Both started to swear at me and that's when I handed the phone to the Officer so he could hear the crazy people on the other end.  
I will press charges if they can find this trash.  
Warning to Roger and his boss..DO NOT CALL MY BUSINESS AGAIN... This is a promise that I will make sure you rot behind bars...  
After a little research I found they are hackers, they hacked into payday loans online and have stolen people's information. Contact your Police Dept immediately if you get a call from these creeps..

I got a call at work stating that his name was Shawn with BCI.  Asking for an employee that is no longer employed here.  I have turned this over to the police department.  They are saying that the harrassment charges can be filed against them, but have to have a recorded conversation in order to prove they are hackers.  So please call back one more time.  Recorder is ready!

I, along with my employer are being harrassed by a Kevin Smith whom says he is from B.C.I., Bureau of Crime Investagations out of New York. They say I owe a pay day loan which I do not. They call me at least 10 times a day and my employer also. They have threatened my life and they are coming for me. They have many different numbers and some of the names are Sherry Snyder, Rico Carlos, they dont speak english and have a foreign accent. Do not respond call your local law enforcement I did.

i got the same calls and to make them stop just tell them lets go to court and after that they never called me back .

I just got off the phone with BCI. A payday loan was taken out in my name in 2010 (a matter of identity theft and the person has been aprehended). I am currently a compliance officer for a bank that oversees their internal and external collection units. I am versed on matters of the FDCPA, ORC, FCC, and FTC when it comes to collections.

The thing that struck me, and made me return the call in the first place was the disclosure on my Voice Mail message. BCI disclosed the debt, that they would take legal action, and/or have me arrested. 1st strike against the FDCPA. When returning the call no mini-miranda was read ("this is an attempt to collect a debt....") this is strike two. Next the the gentlemant "Richard" would not pass me to a supervisor nor would he give me the name/mailing address for the company calling. As I pushed the issue, he hung up. Strike 3

I returned the call immediately, same person, but now his name is "Steven" same gyrations and was hung up on. A third call was made where I spoke to a 2nd person name "Richard". I was able to gleen the name and address for the company calling (BCI Crime Investigations 1020 N. Pitt St Brooklyn NY 17018) this address has turned out to be bogus. I gave a verbal Cease and Desist to which I was told they will continue to call if they want. Stirke 4

After further research, BCI has never filed a legal document in any county in any State. These are scare tactics punishable by the FDCPA. I have recorded all three phone calls (android market has multiple apps for free) as well as saved the VM originally left. I intend to contact my attorney general in haste as well as contact my attorney to bring a civil suit.

Please understand that the above mentioned violations of the FDCPA can have up to a $10K penalty (Paid to the consumer injured) I strongly urge everyone who deals with BCI to do the same.
