Received call as US Treasury Legal Affairs starting legal actions against family member. Foreign accented and not well spoken. Asked numerous times and he stuck with the script of US Treasury Legal Affairs and this being their contact number. Then asked if he was a IRS agent his response was still US Treasury Legal Affairs. Then asked if he was associated with Transunion, Equifax, Esperian, he said no. Asked if he was associated with debt collectors like BoA, Ocwen, Nationstar and he hung up.

Got a call from this number leaving a message on my answering machine for my nephew, calling him by name.  I went back to my office called the number back.  I told them that I had a message on my answering machine to call them and they told me to hold on.  After a few seconds they came back and ask if I was  so and so, which at that time they had my name instead of my nephew name.  Started telling me that the IRS was fixing to have me arrested for three different charges and he read them off.  Wanted me to settle this immediately before they had me arrested.  As I explained to him, I knew nothing about this and I called his hand on asking first for my nephew and then all of a sudden it was me he was asking for, he and I exchanged a few words and he hung up!  This is a scam!

This number called at 5:30am, 9 am 12:30pm, 2:45pm claiming to be an agent of the federal government and if I didn't call back within XXX that I could be prosecuted. I am not calling back- this is a scam. BEWARE.

This number called me at 6 am. The man said he was calling from Department of Treasury. This is definitely a scam. You should just hang up.

Received a call at 2 PM on 10/30/2015 (PST) from Brandon Koch (couldn't quite pickup his last name). Heavy Indian accent. Clearly reading from a script because his starts and stops did not make sense with the message being delivered. The pauses happened at the wrong time, etc. He said he was calling from the Department of Legal Affairs. He said he was calling with a very important issue. The call was a verbal notification for enforcement (I think it was enforcement, it was hard to understand) action started against me. He invited me to call back and if I could not call back I could have an attorney "to call for me" and then said a delay in calling will lead to a legal mess . He then provided his phone number a couple of times and signed off by wishing me a blessed day. There was no notification of what company or government agency the Department of Legal Affairs was attached to.

John Walsh called from Internal Revenue Service Legal affairs... When I told him I was recording the phone call he hung up and then nobody answered when I called back.

Man named John Adwick called my family. He knew specific names of me and my family members. said he was with the Department of Treasury and stationed in New York.

if you have someone with indian accent, from the us treasury, call you and tell you that you are going to be prosecuted for not paying federal taxes, it is a scam. you can submit a complaint with the treasury inspector general for tax administration at https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml          please follow up and report it. dont give your money to india

This is a total US Treasur/IRS SCAM!!!  Report any/all calls from this number at www.tigta.gov and click on the red box in the upper right hand corner "Report Scam."
Maybe this degenerates will get busted and reprimanded for their illegal activity.
