This number calls claiming to be IRS and scam money from people

Got a call from them today saying they are IRS and they have a case for me and that I`ll be arrested for not paying taxes. Said they sent me documents twice, but wasn`t able to confirm address. Said I need to pay what I owe in 2 hours and cant disconnect my phone during this time. Should pay with cash at Monay Gram

same old trick but improved slightly over phone skills. same story line but strongly urges not to disclose with any body and do not let me hang up by threatening to issue arrest warrant w/i 2 hrs. tried to scam me by making 3 way calls with bank to transfer money. ha ha.

Same as other reported: impersonated IRS, claimed to have case for tax evasion and asking for large sum of cash to be sent to MoneyGram to private person, not IRS!

Exact same as above!! Thanks for those who left the comments because I got nervous and was about to leave work to go to the bank!!! But instead, I went to the police station!

This caller claimed to be "Michelle Barker from the Internal Revenue Service," but had a thick Middle Eastern or South Asian accent.  She left a message on my voice mail saying the IRS was going to file a case against me for tax evasion.  I didn't call her back because I was suspicious.  I reported the call to the Treasury Inspector General and blocked the number.

I just got this phone call: 347-722-9747 a minute ago.  I checked online immediately and saw the reports.  Then, I went to check the voice message box and listened it.  The content was exactly the same as MW (28 Mar., 2016) mentioned.  I will block it and suggest anyone to block this number too.

Got the same call. And I told them I don't trust you and they said they will send corp to catch me. haha

They are very rude and ask me to grab a pen and paper to write down the important info which I refused and now I think it should be their acct information. I am  willing to call back and talk with them and then tell them I have called the police and got their add, so the police are on their way, lol

Just got multiple calls from this number a minute ago. Left a voicemail each time, twice just breathed into the phone and hung up. Third message said my name wrong and then told me that they have a case filed against me and that a warrant will be issued for my arrest. I can reach them back at this number when I have payment ready.

Got the exact same call saying that if I didn't pay back taxes that were owed immediately an arrest warrant would be issued within 30-45 minutes.  I work across the street from the federal building in the city where I live and calmly went in to report the scam.  Strangely, they didn't arrest me.  They thanked me for reporting the issue in a timely manner and wished me a good weekend.

This is not their first time, every time I tell them they are crooks but they still keep doing it. It is paying off I guess
Vonage Visual Voicemail from 13477229747     "This message is intended for [...] I asked .... this is Andy fields(?) calling you from the investigating Department of the internal revenue service. This call is from a bother leave a-chance(?) which has been filed against you and your physical address is under tried-been(?) to get it. So before anything goes wrong over to the legal action against you. I urge you to give me a call back as soon as possible. My department called that number which is 347-722-9747. I repeat again 347-722-9747. Thanks. Bye."

Thank you for your comments here.  I received a called from this number on 4/15/2016, saying an IRS case has been filed against me.  And I never have owed IRS any money.
