I just received a call from this number from a guy named Christen Slater saying he was from the Dept of Justice in New York, he gave me some crap about filing a claim against me for an unpaid payday loan.  He had a real thick accent so I asked if he could email or fax the documentation to me cause I was having a hard time understanding him, he kept saying no.  I told him it was a lie that I didnt take a loan out and not pay it.  He got angry and said I would go to jail if I didnt pay $835.00, $300 for the unpaid loan as well as his fee's. I finally hung up.  The thing is, he called me at work and I NEVER put my work number down for anything (I put me cell or human resouces number for verification), he knew my social, my daughters name, my mom's name and where I banked.  Pretty scary!  Dont fall for this scam and PLEASE report it so they stop.

They called me talking about his name wasd Michael from some company there. With a strong accent you can't even understand what they are saying.

this is a huge Scam......somebody needs to stop them, they somehow get your information and then try and act like you owe them money. I know it's false and try and never let you speak......it's annoying and harassing.

I have been harassing phone calls on my job from this number.  How do I make them stop?

I've been receiving harassing phone calls on my job from 347-7538183 from a guy saying he is with the USA Justice Department.  I want to know how can I or what do i need to do to make him stop calling my job.

I believe its the same guy that keep calling me. he has a very thck accent can't understand half the stuff he is saying.

I receive calls EVERY DAY numerous times at work for a lady named Ronda. There is no such person here and this man will even leave a message if you do not pick up. He says his name is Frank Hunt. He pauses before he says his name (probably because he has to read his made up script). He has a very strong Indian/Jamaican accent. It is almost not even understandable. He calls from what sounds like a telethon taking place in the background. He goes on to say that Ronda needs to call him back immediately and that if he does ot hear back from her then it is out of his hands he can not help her to avoid the law suit she will receive. He ends the message with May God bless your soul. I'm sorry, but is that not a threat? How is this able to occur? Where are the laws to protect people from these kinds of scams? Obviously he got this number mistakenly or these scammers are just pulling numbers out of a phone book and harrasing them. It needs to stop!

I too received a call from this number from a man saying his name was Fred Wilson. He had the worst accent ever! He claimed I owed him $1200 but that he would reduce it to $835 if I made mayment today. I asked him what the collection was for and he claimed it was a payday loan. I did take out an payday loan with a company but it was long paid in full. I asked "Fred" to send me the statement of what I owe so I can look at it. He told me he is unable to do that and began yelling at me saying I need to just send payment now to avoid a lawsuit. When I asked how to make a payment, he instructed me to go to Western Union. I told him I was not comfortable with paying that way and instead told him I will pay with a credit card. (I had no real intention of paying his anything). He told me the ONLY form of payment he can accept is wire transfer. I asked for the mailing address and he refused to give it to me. Then he started yelling that he is a police officer with the Justice Dept of America and will come and lock me up if I refuse to pay. I could not beleive this conversation was actually taking place. The guy was impersonating an officer and threatening me. I told him I was going to report him to the BBB. He had no clue what I was talking about. I then told him that the whole call was being recorded and he quickly hung up on me. I came to find out that I was receiving these calls because my identy had been stolen and sold to this fake collection company by the payday loan folks. They had my SS#, all of my credit card numbers, my drivers license number, my home and work phone numbers and addresses, my signature, my birth date and my bank account numbers to 2 different banks. There people had opened credit accounts all over the United States in my name. They had wiped out my bank accounts and charged up my credit cards. I had to fight to close everything and not be held liable for the fraudgelent charges. My credit is destroyed and red flaged and I am still trying to rebuild my life. I continue to get calls everyday from these people. They always threaten to send a lawsuit but never do. I would welcome one. Moral of this story, do not ever sign up for a payday loan.

I recently got a message on my voice mail at work from someone named MARK MILLER @ 347-753-8183 with a very thick accent. He indicated that I should return the call regarding a very urgent and important matter against my social security number. I get them every other month  I don't know what this is about and haven't brothered to return the call.  I believe this is a SCAM. I have been checking my credit report and have signed up for credit monitoring services with the various credit agencies just in case.  This has to stop.

I recevied a message a my work tellng me to call him or have my attorney call him he has a very thick accent he told me to god help me if i do not call. how do you stop these messages.

I am receiving calls from a man with a very thick accent saying it is very important i call him back at (347)753-8183 but the number that came up on caller ID was (212)601-9268 which is a disconnected number.  He says that if i do not return his call, then ...all he can do is wish me good luck...

yesterday i received a call from a different thick accented man saying I had court today at 11am with 3 allegations against me and that i had better get a lawyer.  All for a loan i took out on the internet which I NEVER have!  I told him that this was a scam and hung up on him.
How can these people get away with this??

I received a call from Scott Johnson from 3477538183. He too was saying I have a payday loan that I did not pay. They said I'm being sued and my family will have to go to court and so will my employers. It was a false statement so don't send these guts any money.

well i got this call today tried to reason and tell them to send me the info they wouldn't do so i recorded them and sent it on tp the local sheriff;s dept they are a scam!!!  well they said would get me monday we will see!
