My daughter got a call from this number on her cell phone and my neighbors goat a call from it on their land line.  Caller leaves message saying it is a call from the IRS and if the call is not returned they will file a lawsuit to collect delinquent taxes.  I tried to call number but no one answered or returned my call.  I think this is a scam.

I also got this message on my answering machine. I think this is a scam too. I would not loose any sleep over it.

Yep I got a message on my machine on 3/27 stating the same thing.  The caller id said the call was from 607.562.8977 but stated to call 347.809.5928.  I called both first number just rings and rings.  Second number goes straight to voicemail and it's a foreign woman's voice.  I believe it is a scam as well but I am checking with my tax advisor.

I also got a call from this number saying they were from the IRS and that they were filing a suit against me. But since I just got my refund check today, I'm not too worried.

Same thing here. I got a vm message stating that they were IRS and they were filling a lawsuit against me. I called the number and got a vm. IRS will never call you; if there is an issue they will mail out a letter to inform you to contact them.

I was able to find the owner of telephone number 347-809-5928 and effectively get it shut down last week.

No one should be able to contact them any longer.
