My wife was call from this number from a spanish guy saying that I was in a car accident and I was kidnapped and I will be kill is she doesn't deposit $2000 in a Western Union account in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Please be advice, hag up and report the number it happening all over US. NY, NY

I too was called this morning from the same # (347) 891-1626...saying a relative of mine was in a car accident and that they hit a BMW. He claimed his brother had a broken leg and that he was upset about the damage to his car so he hit my father with a gun and held him hostage for $2000. He first instructed me to go to an ATM but then realized that 2000 cannot be withdrawn at once so then he suggested western union. I knew where my father was so I did not fall for this but others might. A family member being in an accident and being hurt is very serious and can happen to anyone and is very believable. Be careful not to fall for this and become a victim of this ridiculous scam.

I got the same scam call described above from this number today, a man with a Hispanic accent saying that his brother was holding my brother at gunpoint after a fight resulting from a car accident and would kill him if I didn't send money, also that he would kill him if I called the police.  I didn't believe the story and told him so, also told him I would call the police.  I did that, and the police came and took my report.

Same exact thing happened to my brother this morning from same number (347)891-1626.  The man had a Spanish accent and told him his brother (me) was in an accident and hit there BMW.  Then he claimed he kidnapped me and if my brother didn't pay $3000 to a Western Union account they were gonna shoot me in the head (which the man repeated numerous times).  The man couldn't give out any info on me so naturally my brothers wife called me from her phone and I told her I was totally fine.  Nice little Sunday experience for my family.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday 11-18-12 from the same number, 347-891-1626. I found out while i was on the phone with him that my brother was ok. I called 911 after the call ended. they instructed me to go to the local police dept and file a report. I got to the police dept and was told basically that nothing would be done with it, it would not be investigated. Im going to file a formal complaint with the DA's office today against the police dept for not taking my problem seriously.

I am trying to figure out how they targeted me. I recently had something delivered to my house. Has anyone else recently bought something large and had it delivered to your house? Let's nail this guy.

I know he lives in NY possible in Woodside Queens.

Call received from 347-891-1626 today by my 14 year old son who didn't take the news very well about about his father having a car accident.  My mother picked up the phone to talk to the guy while my son called his father and he was okay...  I reported it to the local police department.  This is insane..

The same thing happened to my sister yesterday morning (11/20/2012) - a guy called my sister yelling to her that he demanded $2000 since our dad had been in a car accident and had hurt someone else.  The guy also stated that if we called the police my dad would die.  It all ended up being a scan and we reported the incident to the Police; who stated nothing could be done.

This same numbered has called me 3 times this morning.  Read below to see what happened to my husband yesterday.  They keep calling back today! from this number that I just googled and see that others have been harrassed and threatened too.  I posted this on FB and am about to twitter.  Everyone should know about this.  Spread the word! This happened to Scott today. It was horrible and Scott endured 5 hours of hell as these con artists claimed that after a minor fender bender, Scott's brother Jeff was being held by one of their family members who was in a gang. They demand
ed money for the stolen car that Jeff had hit. Through a miscommunication with me and his parents, and their threat that if he got off of the phone for even a second,his brother would be killed, he thought that none of us could reach Jeff, and that this was actually happening. He wants everyone to know that it is important that you and your family should never answer blocked or unknown calls. Also be aware that after these people told Scott that his "brother" had been in an accident, Scott naturally turned to me and said "Jeff has been in an accident" from that point on they then had his brothers name and a good enough story to make it all sound plausible. PLEASE never give out personal information- it only takes a little info for these con artists to sound very believable. This scam has happened to many so please beware! Scott is doing ok now but is angry and embarrassed. I am proud of him for shaking it off and wanting to share his story so no one else we know will go through what he went through. Please share this with everyone you know so no one has to go through this. Enjoy thanksgiving, I know we value our family now more than ever and it makes the loss of some money seem small in comparison.

These [***] just called my cell phone with the same scam and had me believing it. I had no way of contacting my brother at the time so I did not know what to do because I do not have that kind of money. My nerves are still shot and I can not stop crying. I hope they realize that what they are doing  can hurt someone like me who has a heart condition.

A Man with a Puerto Rican accent called my husband stating that they had his brother in their house because there was an accident and was badly injured to the point that he couldn't speak and because they were "good people". Supposedly, his brother had crashed them and they didn't want to do a police report so they wanted to settle it with $2,000.00. When they felt my husband was not buying the whole story, they told him "If we do not receive the $2,000.00 by today, he would be killed". My husband knew it was a bluff, so he told them "Kill him then!" I reported this to prevent others from falling into this trap! PLEASE BE ADVISED ABOUT THESE CRUMMY SCAMMERS!!!!

12/8/12 well ppl guess what i received this call today as well only thus guy spoke perfect english but same story about the car accident n same amount o 2,000 dollars it was my brother as well as i was reading everyones story i realized they always "target" a male not a wife or sister or mother its a dad or brother all i know is that for that hour it was real n i was soooooo scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister received this call today, same story only saying they had our mother.. filed a police report.

There is a news report of this, because this guy actually paid the money, they have a pattern of calling 732 423 numbers

called me 12/08/12 - said a relative was in a bad accident and told them to call my  number.I asked who it was and they replied maybe your brother , son , mother, sister , wife. -" you can't tell me which one? -no, don't you have a relative driving a car ?- maybe, which one is it?- they weren't smart enough to tell me if it was a male or female. These people are idiot's and if you believe them , your no smarter than them

I had a similar phone call from a restricted number, spanish guy saying that a relitive was is a bad accidentandand asked me do I have any relatives that drive. The more questions I ask the the angrier he got eventullay saying do u want me to let him die, so when I responded let kim die, he gave up and hung up phone.........

Received the same call today. Telling me my family member got into an accident and needs help . After I was not buying it they told me they will kill her if I don't give them money. I said ok do it. Beware of these low life's. pathetic- go get a real job.

I received a call from this number today, but I didn't answer. I went to google just yo found out it is an scam. I didn't call back.

Yeah, its amazing how this guy is still around, he is prolly hiding out in a cave due to the amount of Americans that are hunting this assH... he called me then my daughter... seems that he is dialing numbers in sequence. Be advised, if you have a gun HUNT DOWN THIS FOOKER AND POP A CAP IN HIS [***]
