Received a call today (June 17, 2011) at 6:10 p.m. Did not leave message.
I called back and got a recording: "This Magic Jack customer cannot take your call at this time..."
Don't know who it is. Area code 352 is the Gainesville, FL area (college town).

I answered the phone, no one was there. It disconnected after a few seconds.
I called back and was sent to voice mail, but it was full.

florida assn of state troopers (maybe) - very pushy guy almost demanding donation, tell him "no" and he comes back with "okay, how about $10 then?"    pfffft!!

Just got this call the last time i talked with them it was the Florida state troopers and they wanted money so i said i would donate and within 2 weeks have gotten 3 flyers in the mail and today they have called three times

This number is the FL State Troopers asking for money. Made a huge mistake donating a few years ago now they literally harass me every week for money!!! NO NO NO NO!! Now they are calling after 9 at night!!! WHAT IS THIS?? Who do I report them to????? Really sick of them waking my kids up and demanding money from me just because I donated once.

It's not the state troopers. It's most likely a company claiming to represent them. Scumbags who won't take "no" and are probably not endorsed by the troopers at all, given their attitude.

I felt that it was important to support the Florida State Troopers, with the sad story of helping to assist a fallen trooper when they called. Then comes the bi-weekly phone calls. COME ON Enough already. I have lost my job and all I have left is a computer and a phone. Perhaps I should start calling their offices and asking them for some money. Better yet give it a day or two and they will call me and I can ask them then.

Yep, it's some really pushy outfit soliciting donations for Florida State Troopers. I also donated to them in past, two years in a row in fact, because it's a worthy cause. But enough already! Coincidentally I got a call from another Florida police association yesterday hitting me up for money and even more pushy than the FST call. Seems a little ironic that law enforcement organizations would use such tactics.

Yea got a call today at 8:40 PM.. form 352-301-7630 Florida State Troopers. This make the 5th call from them I kept telling I am not interested. What is it going to take for them to understand Not Interested...

Those charities are not  exactly from the State Troopers, they just use their name and probably th troopers get 5 or 10 cents from every dollar, while the bulk of the money is for the caller to spend and pay his bills. So...................................no deal!

Got SEVERAL calls from this number today.  When I finally spoke with the rep calling about donations, I let him finish and informed him that it was not okay to send a packet; that I am on a do-not-call list and they should respect that; and that after warning him once not to call me again, any calls beyond that would be legally considered harassment.  We'll se what happens.  I, too, cannot afford to give any donations at this time and also learned my lessom with the troopers a while back.
