There are thousands of these BANK CARD SVCS numbers with 50 or more different area codes.  This is a scurge on society coming from low life scum bags that are trying to prey on the illiterate or people deperate for credit that they can't afford in the first place. These people have  no education, have not been taught any moral values and are a disease.

This call from an unknown area code persisted until it was call-forwarded to my cell.

    Then they hung up.

No more nuisance calls, please!  There are young children answering this phone and we do not want to expose them to prank calls.

Just got a call from this number on my landline phone.  A recording claimed the call was about two of my credit cards and that it was the second and final notice... I hung up at that point.  I do have two credit cards but I almost always pay well ahead of time and I pay well over the minimum owed.  When I don't pay ahead of time I at least pay on time and still pay more than the minimum.  My point is I'm in good standing as far as my credit is concerned and there was  no reason for such a call.   Another thing is, I never received a  first notice and was not contacted in anyway by either credit card company who's cards I have.

I can't possibly be the only one who has good credit and pays his or her bills that is getting these calls claiming I have a debt I don't have.    I wish there were a more effective way to stop them.

    They are scammers
Cc services "with an important message to lower your cc rates as it relates to the financial stimulus.".  I am on the DNC and have filed several complaints and will continue.  These folks are trying to dupe consumers and they prey on the unsuspecting by throwing out ambiguous terms.  This has nothing to do with the stimulus act or any federal agency.  The option was to press a number to speak with a rep and there was no option to be deleted from future call lists.  I imagine the CEO rewards aggressiveness/rudeness of the reps.  How very sad.

I get calls from these Credit Card scammers all the time.  I have NO credit cards and have asked to be taken off the calling list as I am on the DNC list (which is Federal) but they always pick a new number and keep calling.

These numbers are like cockroaches  -- shut one down and 10 more take their place.  The numbers are usually spoofed (like this one). Frequently they are out of the country and unfortunately little any one can do. But, if you have the time, waste theirs. The more time people waste, the less time they have to be [***].

    ALERT---ALERT---ALERT---PHISHING SCAM---PHISHING SCAM---PHISHING SCAM---ALERT---ALERT---ALERT

This number called my mother-in-[aw Phishing for her credit card information saying that someone was trying to use her credit cards and they needed to verify her number so that they could stop the charges. Fortunately she doesn't remember any of her credit card numbers, and my wife has all the actual cards as she is taking care of her (Alzheimer's). If she had had the cards, no telling where it would have gone from there. Scum like this needs to be scourged from the face of the earth. All that show on caller ID except the phone number is: V04081306330004. I am listing it as unknown, Who called me needs to add Phishing and Scam to their list.

This company calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message with no operator on the line. Their recorded message tells you that this is your second (it isn't they call repeatedly) and final (highly doubtful, as they keep calling) notice to lower your interest rates. When you do get to an operator, the operator hangs up if you ask for his name, let along the phone number, physical address, or company name - all of which they are required to provide when asked by the TCPA. In addition, these are *ALL* questions that 100% of legitimate businesses would gladly answer when asked by someone they wanted to do business with. This is clearly a scam to get your personal and banking information and either rip you off directly, or commit identity theft, if not both. Do not provide this scammer with any information.
