- John-of-Lower-Merion(360) 322‑6668 Robo call recorded 14 April 2014 (Triple message includes "Carmen at Cardholder Services...reduce your rate...consider this your final notice..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "Arlington WA"

Triple message, including "Carmen" only five days after their last call from a different number, even after assuring me, "...consider this your final notice..."
Yeah, I wish.
The recorded message is their usual patter (see below) but there's a pause, followed by a differently worded message on the same "lower your rate" theme. Then there's another pause, then the original voice and same message about lowering your rate is played. Finally they say "good bye" and disconnect.
Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?
Here is a transcript of their latest offering:
[female voice] "This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."
[8 second pause, then electronic tone followed by a different voice and different message]
[other female voice] "Hello, this is Carmen at Cardholder Services calling in reference to your current credit card account. It is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate. Please consider this your final notice. Press the number 1 now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate or press the number 3 to discontinue further services. Thank you and have a great day."
[another 8 second pause, then the original message with original female voice repeats]

- weifThis scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by playing a recording when the phone is answered without having an operator on the line. Their recording outlines that their scam is to give you a discount on your credit card interest - down to 1%. When you try to connect to an operator, they hang up after about three minutes of horrible hold music. This is clearly a scam. If you do get through to an operator, do not give them any personal or financial information.

- VernonStart pressing one and wait for the person to answer. Then blow an air horn or whistle really loud in the phone. Do this ever time they call and sooner or later, maybe they will quit calling.
- EricaI just got a call about lowering my credit card interest if with the Man called me a [***] for not giving him my personal info
just in case the boy who called me a [***] is reading this ... your mother is a [***] and remember what part you came out of her little boy ... just had to get that out.!!!- Caller: 360-322-6668

- HansJust like the rest of you getting that annoying phone call and then after pressing number 1 then they hand up even when I lie about being interested, just to waste their time. Question is has anyone tried to call that number back and what did you get? I do like the idea of the whistle, will try that next time and I know there will be a next time.

- R. HackettThis company has repeatedly called to reduce credit card rates. I spoke to them once when they tried to tell me my rate was higher than it was I told them to stop calling. They called again I asked them who they were they just said they were going to reduce my credit card interest rate then asked my credit card number. I said again who are you and told them I had spoken to someone already. Then they just hung up.
- Caller: would not give name just said represented federal stimulus , lower interest rate

- Robby replies to Luther Rider| 1 replyThey call me everyday too. I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry and have complained to my telephone carrier and government agencies, to no avail. Lately, the name of the caller has been Bridget, of Cardholder Services, but this scam firm has used different names in the past. These criminals belong in jail.
- madashellHave been getting robo calls from this co., by "Bridget". Before it was "Carmen", but probably same company. Tried to get more info about name of company, but when I asked "tell me more about the "Credit Assistance Program", they hung up on me.
So, here's what I am thinking about doing: I am going to try filing suit against the companies that provide the phone number spoofing equipment and add in the called-from spoofed phone numbers as John Does. This is a gray area in the law- but there have been cases where liability was apportioned among an industry because it was impossible to determine the identity of the true defendant. I am going to try it because us 'regular people' have no way to identify the actual callers. If you have been called by "Carmen", "Bridget", "Card Member Services" or "Credit Assistance Program", I'd be very appreciative to know of your details, including how often you've been called and how you've been inconvenienced by the intrusion into your privacy so that I can add the public's stories to the complaint. This is a HUGE problem. The DNCR, our Attorneys General, the FTC etc are NOT doing their jobs at all. Its time we tried something else. - Carolyn Johnson replies to RobbyI don't answer any calls if I don't recognize the number. If they leave a voice mail I erase it.
Why do they keep calling people who hate them? Maybe they dont know how to stop the program lol - Thomas StanleyThey have been robo-calling me for several years from card holder services, and card holder services has been asked to stop only to be met with extremely rude people. I believe they are calling from 3603226668, but don't have caller ID so cannot tell for sure.
