Caller threatens you and says they are the IRS

It was an automated sounded vm message left for me saying the IRS if filing a lawsuit against me and that I need to return the call to 360-474-4713. I don't understand why, when they leave a return phone number, can't the police do something about these kinds of scams?

Had the same type of call. Automated system claimed that it was the IRS filing a lawsuit for tax fraud. The IRS would not call, they would inform you by official letter. The number is out of Canadian territory. SCAM!

Got 2 Calls today on answering Machine. First part of message is hard to understand. If it is the IRS I will wait for a letter.

Scam threatening with an impending IRS lawsuit.  The government doesn't leave you phone messages warning it is going to sue you without anything in writing.. Google IRS scams and report these incidents.

I have received four calls from 360-474-4713 today. Each time they leave a voice mail saying there is an impending lawsuit against me by the IRS and that i must return the call. I find it difficult to believe the police, IRS, or FBI has allowed this scam to operate for at least 5 months now.
