Call came in this morning. IRS scam caller- It was a poorly recorded female voice claiming there was a tax fraud suit being filed. I'm fairly sure I never heard any name used (as to who was allegedly being sued). I'd heard about this scam on the news, (plus "fraud" was never a possibility) and the IRS will NEVER contact people via phone in this manner. I am reporting this to our local town newspaper to alert folks that this scam is now in our area. The initial report I had seen on this said some people ended up sending thousands of dollars before they realized they had been "taken" and by then it was too late- Spread the word!

Got a call, Saying they were the IRS and i was being sued by the  IRS

I got the same call. Second one in two days. Yesterday I got the same call from 7245976584 in PA with a male computer voice saying the same thing.

This should be illegal. I'm sure if an elderly or fragile person received this call, they would be terrified.

The message on my answering machine said that they were the IRS and they are suing for IRS fraud, this would be the last attempt to contact me???? I look it up and I find that this is scam call.

360-861-4117 scam calling in Central Ohio.  Caller claiming an IRS suit for Tax Fraud is being filed.  As mentioned, IRS would NEVER contact by phone for litigation purposes.

got the same message saying that it was the IRS so I called the # and a male answered IRS in broken English.

Just got the call. It's definitely a scam. They are calling Lee's Summit Missouri, and Olathe Kansas. Our mother got the same call the other day. Do not send any money at all.

Got this call today (2x) from a man with a heavy accent who identified as "Jason Parker."  He said he was from IRS and listed (false) case documentation numbers.  Gave me another number to call back to verify his claim of being an IRS agent located in Washington DC.

DO NOT FALL 4 THIS!!! IT IS TOTALLY A SCAM!!!! got the messages 3x. automated message stating her name was KELLY WHITE…then called back # i made sure i blocked my # before calling # back & a guy w broken english stated cursing @ me. I told him i will press charges againist him next time i receive this call & i will if it happens again.

Just recieved the same phone call from this number 360-861-4117. Stating that their is a claim against me for tax fraud with the IRS. This scam is also in Chicago, IL. Also the recording is poor quality and it's a man voice. Thanks to everyone posting here letting other people know it's a scam. That's why I'm posting!

I've receiving calls from this number and from  727-596-6554/716-220-8575, and they are saying they are from the IRS

Voice mail msg. left claiming they were the IRS and I was being sued for IRS fraud.  Requested that I call them immediately.
I am a senior citizen, have been for a few yrs. and do not owe any taxes.  This is a scam.  The IRS does not contact
people by phone.

they called my fiance and said the typical IRS script, indian guy.

So i called back and I said:

Me: Hi, I was wondering who I should be giving my payment information to?!

Indian: Um yes, let me look up for account, one minute....

Indian: Okay, go ahead...

Me: Well actually, I wanted to tell you about my dream first.

Indian: Okay, go ahead....

Me: My dream is to [***] down your throat you [***] [***] bag. I contacted the police and Attorney General, have a nice life in prison.

Indian: [***] you- *click*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

I have received 3 calls similar to this leaving a voice mail each time.  I called this number back and someone finally answered. When asked his name, he said Steven Scott.  I then told him that what he was doing was illegal and I would be reporting him.  He called me a b..... and I hung up.
I recommend anyone who gets a call like this files a report with the FTC and TIGIT.  Go online with irs.gov and look for tax scams to get links to the places to file a complaint.

Received call on my land line.  Caller ID shows it as 360-861-4117 from Elma, WA.   I did not answer.  Message was left on my voice mail advising me my name, account, etc. was involved in IRS fraud of some sort.  Left the name Officer Tammy (s) White & to call her immediately.     IRS does not contact anyone by phone.   Snail Mail, only.

I will  not be returning the call & have bloced the number on my phone.

Do NOT fall for any IRS phone scams.   This is the season they will try to catch people off guard hoping they will call back & give out vital information, etc.  Don't do it!
