say they are the IRS and have a law suit against me, when called they want money and threat to have u arrested.

Just called me stating the same exact lines. I almost want to call back and see what happens. Lol

The caller said the IRS is filing a law suit against me and to call them quickly.  I have received this call....know its a scam....annoyed all the same....
What happened to the DO NOT CALL rule??/

called at 4:30 today - on a do not call number - same message - "IRS filing lawsuit - been trying to reach me-" advice -- never answer calls you do not know the number for and do not call back.
Let's all call our politicians and remind why the law was passed and make them do something about governments failure to pursue parties.  This particular one does not sound like  a prank or really a debt collector, but  would appear to be out and out fraud.

Same thing happened to me and what they claim makes absolute no sense

I received the same kind of call.
They were very aggressive and said I was going to be arrested within 45 minutes, have all my documents and bank account frozen etc...
Very shady.

WASHINGTON — As the 2014 filing season nears an end, the Internal Revenue Service today issued another strong warning for consumers to guard against sophisticated and aggressive phone scams targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, as reported incidents of this crime continue to rise nationwide. These scams won’t likely end with the filing season so the IRS urges everyone to remain on guard.

Just remember that if the IRS is going to contact you, they will use good old fashion black and white via fax or post. IF they were to truly file a suit against you, then you would be served papers in person.
