Intermatica (Italy) is the company that owns this number.

You should contact Intermatica (and your media) and ask them why the hell hundreds of their numbers are appearing as millions of missed calls around the world.
If they are not involved I'm sure they will explain who is.

The Italian Regulator is Agcom.

By the way these are revenue share numbers. Your Networks are sharing the billed revenue (many millions) with Intermatica.  This is possibly why none of the National Regulators appear to be to keen to stop this annoying fraud.

I got a call from this number at 15:22 20th of July 2009 (Bahrain).  The weird thing is this only happened after I called a friend in Italy a day before.  It means that the company that owns this number tap on other numbers!!
