I got a call from this number who is it?

I got a call from this number too.  When I tried to call it back a few minutes later there was a msg. stating that number was not in service

Sales call for burglary alarm. Do Not Trust

I got a call from this number and I called it back.  It said the number is not in service. So why do I keep getting calls from there?

"Burglary alarm system" company that uses several different numbers from across the US. I made the mistake of pressing 9 to be removed on a number from WA and it actually made the calls increase. Blah. Area codes that they are using are from not only WA but also, KS too.

Got a call from this number.  Didn't answer because I didn't recognize it & they left no message.

Starts by saying dont hang up there have been reported buglaries in your neighborhood...
then go into their marketing pitch for the alarm system

I (along with others who are posting just minutes before me), just got called. However, I never answered.

I am glad to know it was just another wary telemarketer.  I just wanted to mention that I am inundated by calls from "Sandy" telling me that my credit card rate could be lowered.  I don't have credit cards.  I would press 9, the calls increase, so now I press I, wait for a rep and ask all the questions I can think of before I tell them I have no credit cards.  Sometimes they hang up before I finish - it's satisfying!  What the heck is the Do Not Call Registry for anyway????

I also recieved a call from this number, didnt ans, called back to hear the same thing...not in service!

They want to give you a "free" home security system. To me, this is just a code phrase for allowing random strangers come into your house to scope out what you have, and then put a sign in your front yard to signal to their buddies that you're a target. Wanna bet that "free" home security system isn't really hooked to anything?

just got a call - didn't answer - called back said not in service - where do they select the numbers from?

Instead of credit, this one sells alarms. Please complain to the FCC. Hopefully they try to do something about it.

Telemarketer call for a Rhode Island Co. who wants to place a lawn sign on my front lawn...???

This is yet another number from Tom from home protection, I get about 7-8 calls a day from this company from all different numbers.  This is my cell phone they are calling, all my numbers are on the do not call list.  I have asked nicely about a dozen times to get them to stop calling and when that didn't work I have tried these other tactics.
Told them I didn't own a home
Told them I already had a security system
Pretended not to speak English
got a sound effect of a fax machine to play so they think they are calling a fax machine.

I have two young children, as well as elderly grandparents, so if I hear my cell phone ring I drop what I am doing and go to it.  It is annoying if I am working and getting these calls it is harrassment and I don't know how to make it stop!  Blocking and/or setting them to a different ringtone don't work either as they call from a different number almost EVERY time!

What part of the do not call list do thee [***] not understand!
