When you answer and say hello to a robo-dialer, that tells the robot that it is a working number, and that it has a live sucker on the line, and your number is then moved to the"sucker"list, once your number is on that list,it stays on FOREVER! Welcome to our little club.Your number will be sold/traded/shared with every other scammer here in the USA and perhaps around the world. You can complain/biXch/and moan all you want to the FBI,CIA,NSA,FCC,FTC,OPRAH, and even Hawaii 5-0, but your number will always and forever be on that"sucker list".When they call, consider it a challenge or a sport, mess with them with the goal of wasting as much of their "valuable"time as possible, press 1 to speak to a"representative",then feed them as much B-S info as possible, give them goofy/FAKE names, addresses, credit card numbers, toll free customer contact numbers on the back of the card,etc.etc.Since I retired, one of my personal favorites,is,when they ask for the toll free number on the back of the card, I give them a VERY kinky toll free sex-chat number,(google for a list of these),then just wait for them to come back on the line.Hilarity usually ensues, but be prepared for their true evil personalities to emerge, hold the receiver a couple of inches from your ear in case they have an air-horn/whistle.I've been messing with them for about 5 years now and actually look forward to their calls,I usually average about 10-20 minutes per scammer, here's my routine,I pretend to be senile and/or hearing impaired, and make them repeat things 3 or 4 times, but remember, they are trained professional grifters, their ultimate goal is to get your checking acct./credit card/debit card info so they can transfer your money to them.My husband tells me I need a hobby,I tell him I already have one. It's called scamming the scammers.Stay safe out there fellow club members.

Credit Card offer to lower interest rates.  Numbers are disconnected. They are a SCAM.  Scam is to get the Zip Code first and then say that they need to verify that one account is in good standing with a balance of $4k or more. The then ask for the card number and / or the expiration date. Finally they ask for the card number. Most of the time they will ask for the last four numbers of your Social Security number. Then they put you on hold and check the card using the phone number on the back of the card. I wasted about 15 minutes of their time giving a card that had been replaced. Gave fake zip code and etc.   Waste their time if you like however don't give them a real working card number. Also the following numbers should be consider as FRAUD. 401-515-4756, 850-237-4859, 407-692-2286, 860-822-7440, 731-498-4058, 517-705-1117, 302-234-8558, 281-825-4439, 765-998-4712, 416-364-1111, 631-665-8769, 503-543-5471, 731-203-5870, 406-980-2030, 620-504-7452, 860-949-6352, 703-468-4703, 203-244-7440, 701-771-9654, 337-220-9635, 256-526-9650, 726-901-8575, 763-428-4712, 601-907-8542, 501-433-8509, 202-509-5548, 207-246-8509, 304-287-4841, 303-490-7410, 678-864-7418, 916-555-0077, 765-525-9654, 813 444-5700, 207-829-6517, 301-577-6523, 256-526-9650, 337-220-9635, 203-244-7740, 701-771-9654, 620-504-7452, 703-468-4703, 860-949-6352, 908-395-8442, 404-900-5101, 305-368-8209, 726-901-8575, 601-907-8542, 207-829-6517, 301-577-6523, 256-526-9650, 337-220-9635, 203-244-7740, 701-771-9654, 620-504-7452, 703-468-4703, 860-949-6352, 908-395-8442  I'm sure this is only a partial list of the numbers used by these scamers.  Typically if you call the number they are disconnected.  A search on google will display numerous complaints. When I see these numbers on my caller id, I answer as my local police department.  They immediately hang up, and I do not get calls from them again, except this RI number.  I think a class action suit should be filed against these guys due to them stealing my cellphone minutes.  They are calling against my wishes, and in doing so, they are stealing from me.

Calling cell phones without permission is a crime, but don't expect these crooks to obey ANY laws. Try stuttering -- badly -- when they call.
