Call every night at same time, no one talks, just hang up.  This has been going on for about a week.

No message. Has called twice. Who is this? One other site said mediacom???

This number called me today, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.  I'm in Alaska.

I received a call from this number too, and I too am in Alaska.  It shows "Iowa Caller" on my caller ID but the area code is Omaha, NE???

I also got this call today and I am in Alaska as well.

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago but didn't answer. I've seen this same caller show up on my Caller ID a couple of other times in the past few days.

same here "IOWA Caller" I didn't answer it.

i called the number back..  it is GCI cable trying to get you to sign up for some free additional cable service.. at least leave a message.. passive marketing is WEAK GCI!!

I've been getting calls from this number every few days for the last two weeks or so.  I also live in Anchorage, and I never answer and they never leave a message.  It's annoying and I don't know how they got my cell phone number.  If it's true that they were hired by GCI, I'll definitely be calling GCI to give them a piece of my mind.  And to request that they remove me from their call list.

What's the point of hiring this company to generate sales when they're just hanging up on everyone anyway?

This is not GCI calling you guys up and all the sudden hang up after you answer.

These are scammers trying to lure you to calling them back stating that they are from your local cable company.

I have called them back well over 3 times on 2 different out of state numbers just for the heck of it and they will pretend they are from your local cable company. They stated they were from GCI, Time Warner, and sadly DirecTV.

Your Local  cable companies will call you from a legit number that is local in your own area.

GCI Cable calls from an 907-868-xxxx number.If you receive a call and they hang up. They are scammers.

Cable Companies do not waste their time or their customers to promote their current promotions.

GCI recommends you give them a call and report the number to them so they can block the number or get that number disconnected.

I received a call from GCI at their 907-868-xxxx number and gave me a promotion about their HD package which was a legit call.

Also in Alaska here.  The caller ID says "Iowa Caller."  I don't recognize the name or number so I don't answer.

This number called my home in Juneau, Ak.

I just got a call from this number.  I'm in Alaska.  I didn't answer because I have been getting a lot of these type of calls.  I'd like to know how they got my number.  It's a cell and unlisted.

I started getting these calls a couple weeks ago.  They call and don't leave messages.  When you do answer they hang up.  Finally when I answered and immediately said "do not call this number again" and hung up on them.  I also contacted GCI (since someone mentioned that this is a media company contacting me on behalf of GCI).  I let GCI know that I was not happy about their association and they put my number on "do not call" and removed my cell as a contact number.    

At this point I decided to report this number for abuse on www.donotcall.gov.  If you're not already on this list, register and then you can file a complaint in 31 days after registration.  I haven't received a solicitation call in a very long time until this number started popping up.

Thank you so much!! They have calld at 7:32 on the dot for the last 3 or 4 nights! I dont answer numbers I dont know and i thought it was strange.I will be calling GCI in first thing in th morning and letting them know!!! Again thank you for your post it was very helpfull!!!!

GCI is a legit company in Anchorage AK....but they are useless also when it comes to real customer service.
