they say they are the collection agency for dell and I do not have any paper work from them  and they say they will only FAX me a letter to pay them  please help

From the other replies I'm seeing on google and the call my own mother got, they don't sound legitimate. Don't give your personal information out to people you don't know, and certainly not these scammers.

Called my cell phone and left no message.

they keep caling my home number and wanting information about a toni buckminster & asking me about my family & really rude about it. i gave them a little information & now im scared after reading it may be an identity theft scam!!! :(

An autodialer called my work phone from 402-817-3305 "UNITED RECOVERY." After I answered with my standard corporate greeting, a man picked up and asked for someone by name. After telling him that he's reached a corporation, and that no one by that name works at my workplace, he phished "which corporation...is that...did I reach? <pause>." I repeated the corporation name from my greeting, and then as he asked me if anyone else in the corporation knew anyone by the name he was seeking, I simply hung up.
