Who does this number belong to ?

It's a scam.  They called me earlier today, left a message, claiming they were Cox Communications and that I needed to call them back.  Naturally I believed it because I do use Cox and I recently requested a service from them.  They left a name and number, but it sounded super unintelligble.  They just called me again and I answered, and there was no reply, so I said "hello?" again, and this time, the person on the other end said "Can you hear me?".  I quickly hung up because I heard about some scam going around of people using your voice recording for credit cards and [***].

Somehow these ppl got my cell # which I never give out.  Once they left a msg saying they were Cox.  I never called them back.  SINCE THEN they have called me almost every day and sometimes twice a day -EVEN THOUGH  my voice mail msg says "If you know me you know I don't use my cell phone-call the house". Although I never answer my cell, I do leave it on and these ppl are driving me buggy.

it is cox comm. If you start an online order but do not complete it, they call to try to get you to continue with placing your order for service. They call a lot.

This is Cox Communications. No, its not a scam. I had set up a move order today and they called a couple times after to finish it up.

This is a scam. I got in contact with cox customer service and gave them the info. They confirmed this is number does not belong to them. DO NOT ANSWER. I have screenshots of the convo to confirm it is fraud

is a scam my mom denied it but I answered and it said that my mom needs to pay the bills for the internet and they said that they need my mom's credit card number I said you scammer so I reported it to the police and the police said that they will wrest that person.

Scam, don't give them permission to access. Cox will email you a confirmation.

It's a legit phone number for Cox Communications. I even called the Cox Corporate office to verify.

I had to press ear against phone. For a communication company they don't know how to use a phone

This is 100% a scam and it must be a long running one. If you don’t believe me, call Cox directly and ask them about this number and they will confirm it is not theirs.
