Just got my phone bill with a $1.56 charge for a long distance call on 06-24-08 to 402-935-2050 in Omaha, NE. I also have a PayPal account, but have never called them for anything.

same for me... 14 minutes & i never called them

I just recieved my phone bill and there was a call made to this number on june 29th for 13 minutes, and i never made this call. How could this number be called when i have not had any visitors, so i am the only one making calls on my phone.

Phone bill shows a call to Omaha Nebraska 402-935-2050 on July 20 2009 for 17 minutes

I have a charge on my telephone bill against phone number 402-935-2050 and have not called this number. For PayPal I called 888-221=1161. Why am I charged for this other number?

In FL.I also received a phone bill for 18 minutes to 402-935-2050. Never called PayPal and never use this phone for long distance. Pay Pal claims ignorance, although I told securiy it's all over the internet from other victims accounts.

I  live in Nova Scotia and according to my phone bill I called this number and had an 11 min conversation with someone. I KNOW I didnt make this phone call cos I wasn't even home the night of June 12th when the call was supposedly made!

How can this number 402-935-2050 be charged to my phone bill?

I am having the same problem. wanting to reach paypal, I saw a toll free number and no other numbers to call. I dialed it and was charge $15.  I then phoned paypal and told them about it, and they confirmed that this toll free number is only for us residents. My guess is that when calling from Canada, that toll free number changes itself into 402-935-2050 and this is why you are being charges.In other words, the system does not recognize that it is a toll free number when calling from Canada
Paypal will reimburse the long distance fees and I told them they should let Canadian know that in order to not being charged, that they should not call that us number and email paypal instead. However, I would highly suggest you email  paypal  in order to let them know about it. if you google this 402 numbers you will notice that we are not the only ones with this problem. Sylvie

I had a $50 USD transaction on my PayPal account.  I called 402-935-2050 because it was one of the Customer Service numbers that I found.  They were very helpful.  There seems to be some fraud going on.  It is possible that it isn't PayPal but someone else using their info.  I have been able to track my bogus transaction to Sunnyvale, CA.  I am still working on it.

got a .10 cs bill on my account with that same # n i never use that

When you buy prepaid cards, from Walmart, Green Dot.com, etc and you call to activate those cards, you will get those charges.

This Call Is to paypal. IF you ebay and have ever had a issue with refund or such this is that Phone number.

Got billed for calling 402-935-2050 but we never called them!

Yes, i had this number show up on my telephone long distance bill.  I couldn't figure out who i dialed because i don't know anyone in Omaha. Anyways i did a Google search and found this site.  Then i remembered i had locked out my paypal account and needed help from paypal to unlock it. Hence the long distance charge.  So if you got this charge on your long distance bill it's most likely that you called Paypal and forgot about the whole thing since it was 1-2 months ago.

Same thing for me.  Never called PayPal, 402 - 935 -2050 yet I've been charged for 22 minutes of long distance.
