I received a call from this number and when I said hello I got a male's voice talking very quickly about how he is in prison and he wanted something but I coulfn't make out what he wanted, then he hung up.

My friend just received a call from this number last night around midnight.  Her brother is out of town so she got worried because whoever called said something about being in jail.

I got a call from the same number and it is a collect call company or recording, from a correctional faclity or jail. and they give the inmate about 2 seconds to state their name, but most inmates, like my friend, squeze in their name and a "dont hang up"

Call came in, before I was able to answer, a recording states the following, if you no longer want to receive calls from this number, press 1, but when you press one, the message continues to repeat.

HE IS AN INMATE WHO IS A [***] PUNK HARASSING PEOPLE FROM JAIL IN THE OMAHA AREA>

received voice mail 2/26/08 9:45 a.m. 00:00:00 NAME UNKNOWN.
have been in jail before,sounds authentic,origiates from Omaha ,NE.

March 16 Received call guy wanting bonded out of jail...all bogus info

Okay I got a call from this number and I know who it is and he wants me to right him but I dont know the address and I cant ask him cuz I cant recive the phone call.....and it wont let me call back!

I got a call from this number someone wants to get out jail. be carefull is a scam.

I got a calll from this number and it was an automated phone service and they said "u have got a collect call from sum1 in the penatentery if u decide to accept this call 3-way callig and call waiting is used your call will be terminated" then a guy cam on and said "its me sheena accept please" then hung up...

I got a call yesterday from this number.  This was the first call and they let us speak for about 30 seconds, then it hung up.  I got another call this morning from this number and it was an automated phone service and they said "you have a collection call from Steve in the penitentiary if you decide to accept his call 3-way calling and call waiting is used your call with be terminated, press 1 to accept the call.  I pressed one and it said that an account had to be set up, which I set an account up with another company yesterday for where I thought he was being held.  It would not go through.  it then told me to call IC at 888-506-8407.  I call and they do not service where I thought he was being held.  I also called the facility that I thought he was in, but they have no record of him.  I spoke with the FBI agent and he said that I would have to wait until Monday morning to speak with a U.S. Marshall to find out his location.  I am so worried.

I contacted Douglas County Sheriff's office and received a reply that I should continue investigating on my own. Seems to be just another branch of law enforcement who only are interested in the easy arrests and investigations.

Douglas County Sheriff's office did look into this. It is not a county facility. So, don't answer it and if you do hang up. Do not follow any instruction. Relax, it is not a friend or relative in jail. It is a scam for your money or access to your phone so calls can be charged to it.

I am a Bail Bondsman in Kansas and have recieved several calls from this jerk. He calls and give a story about being in jail some where in Kansas and wanting a Bondsman to get him out.This has been going on for several months now. Sure wish he would get a life and find something good to do with his time, Guess it doesn't take much to amuse someone as stupid as he is.

They called 3 times stating they were from the local county jail.  The person on the other end was Hispanic and I couldn't understand a word he said.  I hope they just send him back over the boarder

This is a number from someone that is in jail.
I have a friend in jail in Missouri- I think the phone provider there is originating in Nebraska.
What the person said below about Quest is most probably right.

Saying that it was a Collect call from the Rappahannock Regional Jail??? After calling the phone company they said thjat they cannot access the number and or help in this matter???

I received a call twice last night.   When I answered it said you have a collect call from....  That's as far as I would let it go and I had up.   Immediately I got a 2nd call which I hung up again.
