Got a call from this number twice within a couple of hours. No message.

Hi, I got three calls from this number today with no messages, so I called it back and just got an answering machine but then they called again and I answered and it is a gentlemen and his family working from his home calling looking for clothing, bedding, or shoe donations for mentally challenged children and they are trying to set up pick up dates for anyone with stuff to donate.

Yes, this number is indeed from a gentleman who's collecting donations around the communities, he said they would accept clothings, household appliances, basically anything...I'm a little skeptical about them though since I couldn't seem to catch which organization he's representing.

This number called me last night asking for someone who does not live here - I told them they had the wrong number and they ended the call.  Less than 18 hours later they phone back asking for the same person, who still does not live here.

Told them not to phone again!

this number just phoned 3 times. same scenario as above.

same here..  silence..

I imagine they're being paid per call and i hope his manager google's this and rips em a new one.

Got several calls from this number today...some within minutes of each other. No Id, no message.

Got 3 calls today from them all relatively close to one another. Didn't pick up and no message was left.
Ugghh!!!!! Very annoying

same here....all i know is the area code is from southern Alberta

I believe it is a legitimate charity called Community Living. It is for the mentally handicapped. We have donated to them in the past. And really if you are looking to get rid of junk or old clothing and someone is willing to come to your home to get it great! One less trip to Value Village for you!

It's a charity that collects used clothing, small household goods, bedding, sleeping bags, etc. and then sells the goods to raise money

The only charity they are supporting is themselves. Bogus BS Can't giove you a legitimate name of a charity.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ADDRESS!!!

Just got a call from this number, I asked for a place I could drop off the donations and he just kept repeating that he would come and get it. Very skeptical about giving my address out especially since my number is unpublished, so how did they even get it in the first place. And what charity would not be willing to accept a donation at a drop off location.... would recommend not giving out your address to anyone let alone a complete stranger who randomly calls your house to set up a pick up???

I work for a charity, and they would never call at 7 am on a Saturday.  They called again at 10.  I just don't pick up from numbers I don't know.

This phone number is not listed on the AACL website, and no charity can legally solicit donations of any kind wihtout being able and willing to tell you their charitable license number.  If they won't give that, their organizations name, or an address you can drop off (which the AACL website has, so these folks likely aren't representing them), then just say no and hang up.

There an unprofited organization called Alberta Assisted Living.
