- J| 1 replyThis is a phone scam where they get you to go to a website and install remote access software on your computer by clicking a button. Once it's on, it's too late. You're screwed. Never accept calls from these people.
- Caller: Some accented dude trying to rip you off.
- Call type: Prank
- kl replies to Jfrom the same number with my credit card # to lower my interest rate they had my card # call and cancel card immediatley

- megcallled and spoke with my teenage daughter, asked her age and if she had a laptop, then proceeded to say some inapprpriate creepy things to her.She eventually hung up ,locked all the doors and was very nervous as it appears to be a calgary area code.Called the police and said because there were not any threats made it is not a police matter but a telephone server matter!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- GeoffA guy with a foreign accent introduced himself as a 'Microsoft' representative & that I had problems with my computer. I informed him that I was a Computer Technician and that he was mistaken. He then PROCEEDED to inform me that I had alot of computer viruses and that it was verified by, "the reports over the last 4 months". I told him that he was full of [***] and hung up. I'm not a Computer Technician but know more than enough about computers to know that he was full of [***]. I'm almost certain that he wasn't calling from Alberta either, even though he had a 403 area code.

- CareyGot a call today, "I am with (forget name given, not windows) Your computer is sending error messages into us."
I said "That is odd, what operating system am I running?"
A pause, then he said "windows 7" it sounded more like a question than statement.
I said "that is odd, I am running linux"
He said. "That does not matter, it is sending error messages to us."
I said, my tone less pleasent "look you obviously have the wrong number, my computer is not..."
He hung up.
I have tried to call back but keep getting a busy signal.
It is kind of amusing when one knows it a scam, but not so much when one doesn't.
Be wary if you are genuinely concerned about viruses, contact your own tech, don't believe one that contacts you.- Caller: unsure something about computer service.

You have to push 1 to receive the message.
Not sure what will happen if you do but I have texts to land line before and you do not need to push buttons. - CalgaryThey called here today.
I have call blocked the number now - NettieA guy with a hard to understand accent and a lot of noise in the background said something about lottery and $50,000. I had to ask him to repeat himself 3 times as he was very difficult to understand. After I asked him what lottery, he got angry and hung up.
- Caller: unknown couldn't understand
- AbhiAnnoying. I hope the governing agencies are noticing such numbers and barring them from creating nuisance.
- Caller: Was unable to get the name
- notanidiotThis number called me today and someone with an accent said:
"I'd like to speak to the owner of the business."
I replied with a less than inviting tone:
"What business?"
He replied with my name and then again said "Are you the owner of the business?"
I AGAIN, asked harshly "WHAT business?"
He hung up.
This crap is ridiculous, and these lowlifes should be investigated. I feel angry not for myself, but for the people who fall victim to this.
I just called the number and now it is out of service.- Caller: unknown
- joe pscam ! scam! scam! BEWARE!

- andreThey detected some "bad files" on my computer and wanted me to turn it on... (I have 3 firewalls in series and running Linux). Asked them where they called from. Said Microsoft from California... Asked them what version of windows I am runing. Just wasted their time and had a bit of fun. Should always ask if their teeth are important for their job and what make of toothpaste they would recommend.
