got a call asking information about my law practice. said she was calling from judge camp and refered to newnan, ga. not sure what's up.

today I received a call from this number and the person on the other end asked for me by name.  When I said they were speaking to me they hung up.  Strange and scary.

that number calle my cellphone, I said hello and they hung up. I'm not calling them back!

Call from this number came from the Federal District Court at the Richard B. Russell bldg on Spring St.

I may have discovered who or what this is from!  I have magicjack, and I was getting calls like this on my phone, and I always wondered why?  But it turns out that it is related to the call-forwarding feature!  This is how I found out:

1)  Got a call on my BlackBerry Curve 8900, and it said it was forwarded from (404) 462-0000, BUT also displayed the number that the caller was using.
2)  Got the idea to call my magicjack number myself from another phone, and have my cell ring (via forwarding)
3)  My BlackBerry rings and quickly shows a message that indicates that the call is a forwarded call.  The call also displays the number I am dialing from, however, it also shows the number that it was forwarded from ONLY when I answer the call.

So the rule of thumb is that you either have to answer the call to tell if it is forwarded,  or you have to be looking at the phone when it rings to know.  Finally, problem solved!

JT is right. This number belongs to the Federal Richard B Russell building in Atlanta.

This number is not for the Richard B Russell Federal Building...It is some sort of finance company or something...They called my cell phone and left a message for someone else about a honda, and gave a call back number of 877-737-0836

I work at the for the federal court at Russell Bldg in Atlanta.  Whenever you call someone from our phones, this 404-404-0000 number appears on the caller id of the person you're calling regardless of what you're calling from.

That is PD tapping your phone; they sit somewhere where they aim this laser at you and the calls come in.
