calls and will not respond when i answer

Call 3/5/12, left no voicemail

Called 3/8/12 @ 8:01p (EST).  Once again they left no voicemail.  I am on the national DO NOT call list.  Appears to be pointless!!

Called AGAIN!!  3/9/12 @ 1:48p (EST).  No voicemail.  STOP CALLING!  If I do not know who you are I am NOT going to answer.  FACT!

Called again... 6:51p.  I returned called, the # was busy. Per WhitePages it is a landline. Interesting...

This number has been calling me for 3-4 days multiple times per day.  I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know.  I finally just answered the darn call a few mins ago.  No one responded.  They hung up after a few seconds.  Annoying!  Another site suggests XM Radio.  I did recently cancel my service with them and specifically asked them to make sure my name was not on a list to call with any offers.  I don't know if it is them yet.

They claimed they were assurance wireless and gonna send me a phone but their line is always busy

I had just hung up the phone with the Assurance Wireless toll free number.  I then got three calls from this number and they hung up without leaving a message.  I called the number and got an automated message.  I hung up.

It makes sense, I was on the line with Assurance Wireless, I asked for supervisor and while I waited 30 minutes this number called a couple times

Called four times in six minutes. Even the phone claimed its scam number

Your phone cannot claim anything and unless you actually answer the call you can't really know for sure what the call was about.
