Got Recorded message from this number claiming a hold on debit card which I do not have with them

We got the same call at 8:45 last night.  Two of our friends got the same call throughout the day. How can this sort of solicitation be legal? SCAM

Got a call from this number just after 9 pm on my business phone. I let the message run till it hung up after about 5 minutes. I looked up the number here at this site. They called again just after 10 pm on my house phone (only one digit different) and I pressed one as requested (all machine voice) and so far here it is over 20 minutes later and I hear "please enter youre 16 digit card number" about every 30 seconds. I ain't going to hang up till I go to bed in about an hour.

I finally got tired of hearing the recording, so I hung up. It was a good 45 minutes. I got to wondering though, once I pressed 1, could they somehow start charging my phone for some outlandish long distance charges to some country half way around the globe?

Received call 10:33 pm PDT on March 18. Computerized voice claimed to be calling from my credit union to report that "someone else" had been using my card. It said to press 1 to connect to their 24-hour security department. I pressed 1 and it asked (again in a computerized voice) for my card number. All a big phishing scam, apparently the credit union has had quite a few complaints about it already.

Just received a call form this number. I didn't recognized it and did not answer. My instinct was to google the number and I saw this page.

automated call saying ATM card is frozen.. I DON'T HAVE AN ATM CARD.  wants you to push #'s to reinstate.   SCAM.....FRAUD

I received a call on this number claiming that it was Southern Credit Union and wanted to verify my credit card and to dial "1" to speak to someone about it. After I dialed 1, the line went dead and it would reject any attempts to reconnect. I have been a victim of ID theft in the past. Obviously if the phone company knows this line is being used for scamming why wouldn't they track it down and deal with those involved?

Called stating i had my ATM frozen from a bank I do not do business with.  Wanted me to enter my 16 digit card number, nice try pirates!!!
