I got a call this morning from a person saying he's from "something Associates" regarding an allegation upon me(I don't know about what???) and it's a serious matter that I should call at 12nn and resolve it, otherwise, it can there will be a court proceeding. He even left a case# and his phone number. So I called back but no answer so I left a message. I told him that I will never expect a phone call from a law office, let alone regarding an allegation but I do need to know what the call is all about. I had a stern voice though. I'm so ready to call my attorney about it but my husband suggested that I do a reverse-phone lookup and I found this site. The phone number 404-850-8796 is actually listed here already.

This is a follow-up to my original post. The extension number is 827. I called that extension and answering machine said Mr. Brown's Office. I can't make out the actual name of the company...something like (not verbatim - Coen Stuart and Associates).

Another follow-up today. It is from Cohen Schwartz and Associates. They called this morning and said they are a litigation firm and they are trying to collect a debt that I acquired in 2008 from a Payday Loan. Thank God I've never been to a Payday Loan ever in my life so I knew right away it is some sort of a scam but I played along with them. I told them that I've never used a Payday Loan in my life and that I would not pay that amount. It was when the caller became arrogant and pissed that he started yelling on the phone and said "That's what people say when they don't want to pay!" I get more pissed and raised my voice as well. I told him that their phone number is reported as scammers. He screamed.."Get out of my phone!" Then he hung up.

I called back with more conviction and anger. I challenged him. I told him that if that loan is legitimate...to fax it over to me. I will send it to my Prepaid Legal attorney for review and appropriate action. I also let him know that I have Identity Theft Protection. He started to stutter and said that his secretary will fax it to me next week. I said "No, I want it now...I'm by the fax machine." He said, "But she is paid for that." I said, "Are you serious? A simple paper, you can't fax to me now and yet you want me to pay the debt now?!" Then finally he told me he will fax it and hung up. Well, your guess is as good as mine...you fax that came.

I am not done with them yet. I will consult my attorney on how to get back with these scammers. I feel bad for other people who fall for their traps and actually give their financial information on the phone to these stupid people.

They called me and said that there was allegations against me...allegations??? that was my first clue that these people are a scam. Someone called me not too long ago and said they were going to file charges against me for an outstanding phone bill from 2009. I havent had a home phone in over 7 years...they gave me the last four of a social and said "thats your social" I was like uh no i dont think so....I think that these ppl are associated with them.

These "brothers" sound like ones who were calling me in September 2011. It seems that the company name they are operating under this time is different but in the same city. They have operated under different aliases, but according to the city clerk no business is licensed under any of those names. I asked the last rep. who called me on 1/16/12 if he was a member of the Better Business Bureau, he replied yes, but would not dislcose any information accordingly. Don't let these "brothers" intimidate you by their threat of a lawsuit for they are not familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

they have also called me the past couple of day's, threating legal action. saying i have a payday loan from 2007 that i have not paid, i asked for proof and they did email me a letter on their letter head but all it said was i have a outstanding debt, nothing to prove anything. so i called them back and said this isnt enough proof then they said we are sending it to your local court and you will be served papers in 48 hours, well it's been 48 hours and have seen nothing. these people feed on the chance of someone getting scared and paying them. please do not pay them anything. when they left me a message the message said this was Stacy jones, i called right back with in 1 min and they said she was gone, i said wow that was fast she just called me, then i called back and asked agian for stacy jones and they didnt know who she was, these people use so many different names when they call they dont even remeber which names they are using. SCAM please do not fall for this, it is fun though to call them back and just listen to all the bull CRAP lol

They are calling me as well stating they want to send me some legal documents.. I google the number and I see all the negative coments. They call my job several times a day, my cell phone too. I called and asked for an address this guy answers very unprofessional.. Yelling what do you want!!! I'm like your address he says No! I asked for a email address he's like No very rude.. I read that debt collectors may not threaten you with false court summons nor can they garnish wages... You can tell them. Not to call and they won't

Omg, I got a call from this company today and really thought I owed something from 2007. I did have a loan but I thought I paid it. Well I got scared and gave my credit card info and then something told me to look this number up... I'm so mad at myself, I hurried and call my credit card company and they canceled my card and issued me another.. Wow I got scam but I took care of it with you guys post... I thank u all.. Shaking my head.

I recieved a second call from this number today.  When I asked for copies of my debts, they asked for my email address.  I told them I wanted hard copies mailed to me and they refused to send them to me.  Go figure.

They have somehow gotten my parents number and have been calling them. SHAD served a summons over the phone. (WOW as if that can happen) They told my BOYFRIEND (which is against the law for them to discuss legal matters with him regarding anything that has to do with me) that I owed a PayDay Loan and had gone and actually picked up the money but the application was online and that I had made payments in 2007 but had stopped making payments and that the loan was in default and that he needed to pay the 575 immediately. He told them that I was at work and that I had an identity protection on my credit but that he was certain that I had not been involved in these proceedings and that he would call them back. He asked me about it and I told him they had been calling work and was told that they dont give personal information out on employees. They gave him his address (which I do not live at) and called him the next morning and told them they would be sending a summons to me. And he told them to go right on ahead that our attorney was awaiting their summons and was more than eager to take care of them. I tried to explain to the boyfriend that legally they could not discuss anything regarding me with him and that they can't threaten over the phone. So we will wait and see--Investigator Shad conveniently connected him with a foreign woman who was rude and wouldnt let him get a word in and he told her look I let you speak are you going to listen to me and she hung up. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAMS....BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING LOOK UP AND READ the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION STANDARDS ACT!!! IT is illegal for them to do the things that are stated here that they are doing. LOOK UP THE STATUE OF LIMITATIONS IN YOUR STATE...MOST DEBT that is a loan can not be collected after 2 years no matter how many times a collection agency gets the information. If by chance you do get a summons, save all voice mail, get their names, the dates and times that they have called. Keep records of your cell phone/home phone as evidence. Trust me they will use whatever scare tactics they can. Notify your family members because they will pull an intellius report and find the listing of people associated with you and start contacting them. Once they have told the collectors once that the person they are not hunting is not there or that they don't know the person they are TO STOP COMMUNICATION THEN. They can not Harrass or threaten nor can they continue to call and swap their names or represent themselves as an investigator or a member of the municipal court. Trust me working as a legal assistant we have people come in all the time with the same stories listed here! 9 times out of 10 had they known about the fair debt collections standard act they would have never fallen victim to these predators.

This is very serious, I am a Human Resource Associate and I got a call on one of our employees and they were accusing our employee of a very seious matter.  I googled this number and it came up with all these other messages about it being a scam, this is dangerous, because this is now messing with peoples lively hood, it could have cost her her job possibly or at least jeopardized it.

This person named Mr. Fed kept calling my mom. Several times. At home and at work. She was about to send in the money, when I googled the number. Originally, he had given her a number that we called and it was for some appliance repair store in GA. He then called and i answered and he kept insulting and getting loud with me. Eventually, we filed a police report with our local police station and when he called, we told him that, and he has not called back since. My mom was fortunate to cancel her card before payment was made.

My son acquired an internet loan under $800 about 5 years ago and he paid on it. They called him and threatened him with court and he was 18 and scared so I talked to them and they said if I sent $200 to them and it had to be sent through WalMart asap and I was stupid enough to do it. They said the debt would be paid off. I asked them to send me a receipt and of course they never sent it. This happened 16 months ago and now they are calling us again and asking for $500. We will not fall for this a second time. Never have we received  any mail from them, just harrassing phone calls. Everyone that we have talked to are Afro-American. The woman who called today said her name is Agent Anistasia. If anyone knows what we can do legally to stop the harrassing calls please post. Thank you.

All of a sudden I get a call from Mr. Fed lol saying I had a cashnet loan in 2010 & I have to pay now today.  So, I said fax or email me what I owe & I will pay you haha.  They never sent anything but keep calling my cell & work telling my employees I owe them money. My employee were all scared for me so I knew it was a scam I googled #404-850-8796 ext.812. Sure enough these losers again,  Last time it was an indian guy with heavy accent. Scary they have all my personal info.  But, must be the same people that hacked into my computer & bank account and withdrew money. But, they just keep getting away with this. THEY MUST BE STOPPED, what can I do, I did report it to my local bank & police.

My daughter received a call from this company and they told her she had to make a payment or she would be issued a summons and would have to appear in court, she was upset to say the least and complied with their request unbeknownst to me. They told her she had to pay $200 and schedule the balance so she bought a pre-paid card and they tried to process the payment but she didn't register the card so it declined and she was calling back trying to straighten it out and everytime she called they would place her on hold for long periods of time. So I got involved and asked them for their mailing address and of course they refused so I stated I was going to have my attorney call and he got smart then I asked for them to mail or email documents pertaining to my daughters debt they said she had to contact the company they were trying to collect the debt from that's bull because anytime it goes to a collection co they are no longer involved so I just hung and I told my daughter to report the card lost and get a replacement so they could not try and use it.

I also received calls from this number, but this time the name is Mr.Bridgefort from the number 404-850-8796 ext 816. Same stort trying to cheat hard working ppl out of their money.

The person that called me from this number said her name was karen walker...she was very pleasant until I ask her to fax me over documents of the debt...she got defensive and called me a liar because I would not give her the attorney I was going through..I told her if you fax me the info he can look it over I will also need a bond number...she got really mad then and was overtalking me and she eventually hung up as I was laughing because she was getting so angry because she had been found out...way to go karen walker or who ever you are...such professionalism

Received the same call, at work from a very rude and arrogent Ms Stewart, This so called proffessional also called my ex-husband... really!!

When I asked her to them to send a copy fax of what I owed I was told I was pathetic, and being ignorant. I was about done with these women. I told her that I know the law and the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION STANDARDS ACT!!! IT is illeg and my attorney would be contacting them. I demanded a contact address and their fax ...she went on to say that I could not pay my bills how would I afford an attorney. talk about ethics.. and told me never to contact this office again, that was after I told her what she was doing was illegal and harrasment./ then I informed her that our phone call was being recorded. which every minute was...   They need to be stopped.

I feel for the elderly of naive people that take what these monsters say for face value. I have contacted my work, family and friends and the BBB to make them aware of this scam.

This needs to be addressed and the people involved need to be prosecuted, these are just many of the sick scams that can impact peoples  lives and stricken them financially .
