Debt collector

This company calls more then once. Keep telling them I don't want them calling me but they still do.

They called again...This is phone# 23.  I've blocked 22 others so far.  They continue to call from other numbers.  They are WASTING THEIR TIME.

Its Porfolio Recovery. They must get free phone service. Been calling me for a couple years. They can make it look like they are calling from different parts of the country. Its fun figuring out who they are then BLOCKING THEM.

These mega-douches have been stalking me for 10 years!  I had a car loan way back on a vehicle that turned out to be defective (there was an actual recall on it 6 months before I bought it, and I found out less than 6 months afterward).  The dealership refused to buy it back, so I was forced to pay on a vehicle that I couldn't drive, couldn't junk, and couldn't get any satisfaction from the manufacturer.  [***].  Finally, it was paid off, and from somewhere, probably the bowels of the loan originator's files, these people came up with a single payment "owed" - from 1999!! - and have been bugging me since 2003.  I owe the loan originator nothing, I owe the bank nothing, and these people are "collectors" of zombie debt.  They buy up old debt from companies and harass and abuse people to try and force them to pay.

I've tracked 50 so far.

They call me all the time. Debt collectors. Don't talk to them and find out what the statute of limitations is on your debt, if you have old debt. Bunch of leeches. The company that sells them YOUR debt takes it off as a write-off on their taxes...these guys buy your old debt and try and double dip. Ignore, ignore, ignore!

These people have been calling me for years for a debt someone else owes, someone else used my name as a contact and now all of a sudden I owe the damned bill!! I dont get how that works in their minds but apparently they were able to make some sort of connection. Ive had atleast 30 numbers from Portfolio calling me and wanting to get it from me. NOT! GONNA! HAPPEN!!

They call me at all hours and with different numbers, and they never leave a message. Don't know who they are looking for or what they are calling about. Wish they would quit calling period. I don't answer the calls and when I don't answer they will call my mother in laws phone. So please quit calling me and my mother in laws phone.

Yes, its a fun game.  I like to answer and then say yes, I'll get him and then see how long they waste their time waiting.

They call many times to ask me to pay debt since 2000??? but i have never have! they are scam and don't care about sleeping time!

They called at 5:30 in the morning. Is this not against the law?

Yes, it is ILLEGAL by the FDCPA. They can only call between the hours of 8a-8p as far as I know and can only call once per day and that is ONLY if you truly owe them whatever "debt" they claim you do. Even then, they should not be calling. In order to collect a debt legally, they must FILE A COURT ORDER so don't EVER pay these [***] piece of [***]. They get around the DNC list by making fake numbers on a google dialer for free. They abuse the phone system to extort people out of money. The ramifications of their actions can be found in Title 15 USC section 1692. They can be fined up to $1000 PER CALL.

This is a new number I now have on these dumb idiots!  So far I have 94 numbers tracked from PORTFOLIO RECOVERY!!  Honestly can't believe how they call from different areas of the US.  With so much news going on about the NSA leak and now how the President is apologizing to foreign leaders, why can't the NSA hack into PORTFOLIO RECOVERY and see what's going on here!  

3 or 4 times a day for months to my parents, asking for me. I don't owe any debts, and don't live there. They told them but they keep calling. How do we stop this?

This number appeared out of no where on my work cell?  This number is not associated to personal business...  I think you have a wrong number - quit calling

i received a phone call from this number at 4:30 pm. on 11/4. I was on another call and couldn't answer. I tried to call back twice and was disconnected both times with no answer.
