- KirkThis is an Internet yellow pages scam.....The girl, who had a thick accent told me I owed for the last 2 years for my yellow page ad, which I dont have...haha....Then asked if I wanted to renew....Sounds like a credit card scam. BEWARE!!! SCAMMERS AT WORK. The number is located in Georgia, but I would imagine the number could be used from anywhere. REPORT THEM!!!!!
- Tracy| 1 replyJust received a call asking if I wanted to renew our yellow pages listing online (which we don't have) she assured me that yes we do. We are a very small business - I am office manager so I see everything that comes in or out - we have never had this listing. Renew was $599 a year - ha! So I'm sure it was a scam. But be careful - they had a lot of info about our business.
- LARRYWE HAVE A SMALL COMPANY, AND NEVER ADVERTISED WITH YELLOW BOOK, BUT A LADY CALLED ME AND SAID WE HAD A HONARY ADVERTISING FOR TWO YEARS. IF WE CANCEL THET WOULD PUT A DO NOT CALL MESSAGE WHEN SOMEONE CALLS THIS NUMBER. WE WOULD STILL OWE $599 FOR THE PREVIOUS YEAR. I THANK IT IS A SCAM. WHEN CALLING THIS NO. A RECORDING SAYS IT IS NOT A WORKING NO. AND ITS ON THE COLLERS ID. 404-889-8270.

- SammyI wonder if there are certain secret projects behind these callers; It could works like this. As soon as we answer the cal, they might release certain files in to our systems for one goal which we do not know.
- KimberlyA woman called, who seemed very unprofessional. She bumbled through her introduction and claimed to work for "Yellow Pages Online". She then stated that my "promotional listing" was expiring and needed to be renewed at a cost of $599 per year. I told her that I wasn't even aware of doing business with them. She told me that I had signed up in 2009 on a 2yrs for the price of 1yr promotion and asked me to verify my information to validate the account. I told her, since she had called me, she should have the info. She then replied with an incorrect name and a correct address. When I told her that the name was wrong, she said, "fine, we'll just send you your invoice" and hung up on me. I tried to call back but just get a quick busy signal.

- StephI work for a small company and received a call from this number asking for the "person in charge." I told her technically the owner is in charge but he is not here and rarely is here. She proceeded to laugh oddly and go on with her information. She said we are calling because we see he wants to close his account. Luckily for use, our representative for the yellow pages is a great friend as well. I asked her who the representative was who set it all up. She read of some random name and I then told her that is not correct because I am good friend with our yellow pages rep. She got a little angry and I asked who exactly she was with again and she said yellow pages online. I said is that yellowpages.com she said yellowpages.net. I typed this in multiple times and I was redirected to yellowpages.com. I told her this and she became very angry and say NO THAT'S NOT RIGHT. She said it doesn't matter, she would have to send this to corrprate because she didn't get enough information. Not sure what that mean but her signing off statement was "thanks HUN." At that point I knew it was a scam. Apparently, if you quiz them on there information and they get nothing out of you it makes them explode. Might as well have some fun if they will blow your phone up.

- ALASReceived 2 calls from this number. I answered the second time. Lady asked for person in charge of advertising. After informing her I have never paid for online advertising with yellowpagesonline.net, she asked again if I was the one she should talking with. She said she was calling about a renewal. I told her I'm the owner and would know about advertising I've paid for in the past. She abruptly hung up after stating she would refer this to her corporate office. Thought it sounded fishy. Thanks for postings here. I was right!

- Eduardo ValadaresAre we on the same page? They call me for that number and told me my business is list on Yellow Pages. They want to charge me around 600,00 for 2 years of advertising. As like above also she said she would refer this to her corporate office. As far I know my listing was free then if there is a change on terms then have to warning me about that. I am going contact them to ensure I have no services with them.

- noraReceived a call from this number coming from Atlanta, a woman told me she was calling from Yellow Pages, and that we had complementary listing with them 2009-2010, and she was renewing it. I said we did not need it, and did not remember if we had any listings! She yelled "yes you do otherwise, why did you listed in the first place! I said "I never did, but if I did, I made a mistake even to accept your complimentary offer" She screamed "STOP IT YOU ARE GETTING a BILL" and hanged up! I called the number, but there was a massage that the number was no loner in service!!! Watch out!!
- ICDThis is a scam, but I'm not sure how they are making their money. Can anyone tell me?
I got a call from 404-889-8270 today from a woman with a British/Indian sounding accent saying she was from the Yellow Pages. She said my listing was expiring and wanted to know if I wanted to renew. I told her that I had not asked for a listing in the first place and would not be interested.
She said I had "verbally" authorized a two year listing in 2010 and that I had paid for it. I asked how much I had "paid" for it... she said $500. I told her I certainly would NOT have paid $500 for a listing. She said the reason I had not paid for it is because they haven't invoiced me yet--they don't invoice until the end of the two-year listing.
I told her that I would not be paying the invoice and she said that they will send it to a collection agency. I told her, "Please do send it to a collection agency." She hung up on me.- Caller: Yellow Pages (or an imposter)
- s replies to Tracythere at it again, I just had the same sort of call.
