I think its an automated system that is keeping track of what numbers are active so a company like "You won a free trip" has good numbers to call to offer you crappy deals.   404 891 5565

@ about 11 a.m. I got a call from that number and no one spoke too

yep same here.
I kept saying "hello" and noone spoke.
did a phone search on one of those pay to search sites and the name is listed as Gadhv006 ,somewhere in Georgia.

Got a call from this number no one spoke.

They call me and said they were offering in my area "free" virus protection and backup "free" for life.
The lady that call me try to used reverse psychology, I kept telling the lady that I didn't want anything to do with them since she wouldn't tell me the company name, only that they been in business since 2009. She kept insisting for me to verify "all" of my contact info, I got tired of her and hung up.

I got a call from this number and they spoke. I'm in NJ. They asked me about a website u had several years ago. Funny thing I they spelled the adress to the site wrong. Weird. I just denied that it was my site.

[***] called to try to sell me a Life Alert system - "You know, the one in the commercial with the woman who fell and can't get up?" Nice. I like being reminded that in 30 more years I'll be ready for the scrap heap. Till then, I won't be taking any more calls from this number, which came in with a "11" before the rest of the number, which makes me think it's an overseas boiler room. Do not call list once again proves to be a failure.

This moron called, referring to a commercial with an old lady who falls in the bathtub. He asked if I was interested, and I swiftly responded, "I have been on the Federal Do Not Call Registry since the day it began, and now insist that you add me to your internal list of numbers to never contact for any reason or under any circumstances again. That covers the FCC and FTC requirements for you to disengage any contact with me, so all future violations will result in reports to both agencies. Do YOU understand the significance of my statements and the weight of your responsibility to honor my request?" As I expected, they hung up.

I feel bad for the individual calling on behalf of the company. I have NO apology, forgiveness or tolerance for this particular business or the overall practice of telemarketing.

I got a call from them today, asking about my website domain name, which is still an active site.  When they were not fforthcoming with the purpose of the call, I just stated that I wasn't interested in selling the domain name at this time and I hung up.

Later on I thought I should have offered to sell it for a 6 figure price or better.  A wheelbarrow full of cash would have convinced me.

These guys are scammers from Atlanta, Georgia just hang up or don't pick up phone

Called me, I said "hello" a few times, no one on phone. I then said "goodbye" and an automated voice said "goodbye" to me and hung up.

I also keep getting calls from this number. I never answer unless I know who is calling. I screen first. They always hang up on my machine. From other comments I read, I suspect an automated dialer and phishing scam. I too am on the do not call list. Am reporting this number A.S.A.P.

These people had the bad fortune (or good, from my point of view) to call my FAX line; I imagine when it answered with the FAX tone it was a bit unpleasant in their ears..

Same story here in California where I reside.  My cell phone rings, no one answers!
