Got call today from this number. Automated call stating my credit card was in good standing but I needed to call to have my rates reduced. Never once was it stated which credit card they were calling about.

I got a call on my caller id from this #, w/ NO msg left. I don't call unknown #'s back, if the caller doesn't say who tha heck they are!! If it is a Visa or Mastercard sales pitch, I don't have or use either one.

Received a call from number (unknown name).  The rep stated she was calling from Credit Card Services and was attempting to lower my credit card rates.  She gave a return number of 1-866-735-7173

I have a listing for a call from 4049005101 on my caller ID. Just checking to see if I should return it. Doesn't appear to be a legitimate call.

None.  I never answer if I don't recognize the number.  I figure if it's important they will call back and leave a message.

They outright lie to you.  I got a call from the Atlanta #: 404-900-5101.  I usually don't answer, but was by the phone, so I got a representative, who said his name was Dan Hall.  I told him I'm on the FTC Do-Not-Call List, and asked to be taken off their phone list.  He then told me that "Card Services is mandated by the Federal Card Act of 2009 to call people and let them know about how to get lower interest rates on their credit cards," and was an exception to the Do-Not-Call List for that reason.  All of that is completely false, as the act does no such thing.  And the exemptions to the DNC List are charities and political groups, not private, profit-making companies.  He told me "Card Services is mandated" to help people with a total of $2000 or more (cumulatively) on their credit cards.  And that Card Services is a private company.  He gave me a call-back number, of 866-735-7173, which I looked up and is Dynamic Solutions from Las Vegas, with a minimal website, that looks to do consolidation loans -- a very dangerous thing to get into.  (I used to be a credit counselor.)  My next stop is to go to the FTC website and report them.  I suggest you do it, too.

Caller ID said Atlanta.  This outfit uses multiple numbers around the country to make the same low-interest rates pitch.   I just block them using a call blocker that I bought from Amazon.  It reduces the headaches from such telemarketers.  When they call the next time, they will just get a ringing phone.  And my phone won't ring at all.  Nice way to deal with these idiots!

it does no good to tell them that you are on the DNC list.  They simply hang up on you.

Called and left a vm that cut off so could not tell who it was.

feeling stalked by these calls ... always a hang-up, but leaves our inbox filled with empty messages. Grrr

Credit card services identity theft scam.  We'll lower your interest rate if you give us all you credit and identity info so we can steal your identity.  Not today, pal.

I got a call. Same number. prompt 1 doesn't work. I am also getting calls from a local number for the same thing. Twice now we have answered the call, get someone on the line and they hang up quickly when asked what CC they are calling about.  I am turning the numbers over to the local news station to see if they can get some sense of all this. We've had this happening for 3 years now. Stalked is an understatement in how I feel about it. "Sarah" needs to be in robocall jail.

I hope I didn't give up to much information to them before saying no I'm not interested in it. It just didn't sound right to me.
