Cold call on my cell phone from 404-902-6318. Refused to give me company name or address, just said they were the "National Check Fraud Division". Told me I was under investigation for check fraud and threatened to have me arrested if I did not pay them. Transferred me to a female "lawyer" named Denise ??? who said this is a check fraud case on a payday loan. When I explained that this debt was discharged in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy action in May 2012 she became very abusive and told me I was a criminal. I offered to give her the bankruptcy case number and Trustee name and she told me it was fraud and not dis-chargeable. Told me they would forward info to my county for warrant issue and hung up on me. I reported them to the FTC, the Federal Trustee and my state Attorney General. They are thugs, ignore them and report all contact.

Same here but criminal investigator.  THEY WANTED MY ss# and I said no.  they gave the year of birth and wrong last number.  Wanted me to divulge info.  They hung up and called again and I said who gave you my number.  They said I better not be lying and to pack a lunch since I will be interrogated for along time.

Same here ....i got a call from investigator name Scott Nicholson. N a lady director call Dana Clark...suppose that i took a payday loan n then said that i had my number on a check ..said i would b arrested n to go to detention n surrender myself ..bad thing is i got caught in the commotion of it all....but im in the process of filing complaints n compilances to the attorney General office of NY Eric.P. Scheiderson....call his office they will send u some documents to go by....sorry to learn the hard way paid $377.00...but to a lose n now going to gain...oh forgot to say watch out for old loan prey on the past ...n will call family n friends n old jobs also n old addresses that u may have ..."DON'T GIVE ANY INFO. .TRUST ME I LEARN MY LESSON. ....

Got call today from these people said I had a loan out there from a payday loan which I did years ago said I have a count 1 and 2 felony and also larceny charges on me if I don't pay half today that I would have a warrant and then o said could I pay tomorrow and they said by 9am. Had all my information.  But his name was Director Jonathan Turrell or something like that.  Is it legit or not how do I find out

When I called back a Scott answered. And when I was put on hold Jonathan came back on and acted like he couldn't hear me but I heard him fine.
