got a call through skype at 4:30am...

This number has called me through Skype about ten times today......Very Strange!

I got a call from this number through skype mobile. Twice yesterday.

Received multiple skype calls from this number - could not understand person on phone

I got a call from this number five times today on my AT&T cell phone. Once when I received this call, there was a woman humming. When I call back, it tells me that the number does not exist.

I just received a skype call from this number. I did not pick up as I don't know the number. Area code says it's from Atlanta.

This number belongs to a friend of mine.  She can call out, but can never call her.  It is a skype number.  But is attached to her cell.  Ask for Kat or say Kat, she will reply.

I received a Skype call from this number. Guy said his name was David and he was from the US and wanted to be friends. I said no and not to call me again.

recieved a call 25 mins ago...did not answer...WTF?

same thing as others are reporting = multiple skype calls from this number...

I just did a superpages search on this number (+14049418603), and it said nothing more than a land-line based number out of Atlanta, GA...

dont pick up. they charge you more!!!

I just signed up for skype mobile and I got a call from this number. It doesn't belong to any of my contacts or anyone I know.

This is the number which when some one calling you using skype you see. That's it. :) Doesn't matter who's calling you , if they calling you using Skype you'll get this number.

I receive periodic calls from this number. Never a message. When I telephone, the number is disconnected.

This is Verizon Wireless's Skype outbound/inbound PSTN/VoIP switch. Basically someone is calling you from Skype on Verizon Wireless. This is a generic number used for all outbound/inbound. It can be anyone on Skype in the US.

BTW if you use Skype Mobile on your phone with VZW the calls are FREE as VZW specifically whitelists this number so you won't be charged in their systems.

Call received with automated message:

"Your computer has been infected with a virus.  Your effected software are; Win7, WinXP ......
Please add our number into your Skype account to fix your system."

I just received this call today...  I thinks its some bull [***] to use my skype min.....

I think it's probably some type of Skype scam.  It said my computer was infected but since I know it's not, I know they're scamming.  I went into skype and changed my call preferences and now I can only get calls from people who are in my contact list.
