its the ok county sheriffs and police they want donations

They want money and they are rude and high pressure about it.  As a lawman, I am apalled.  They should be courteous and gracious when you decline.  I consider it bordering on abuse of authority.  The guy who called me wasn't a peace officer, but made a comment about how it would be noted that I don't support LE.  It makes me sick.

They are calling for donations for the association fund raisers to support many programs.  If you dont want to donate you can call them at 800-279-4041 ext. 343 and ask that your name be removed... It took me all of about 30 seconds....

405 340 2668 He said it was Oklahoma Sheriff's and Peace Officers...but it is just one of the boiler rooms calling out. They will take 80% or more of the money for salaries and give 20% or less to whom they claim they are calling for.

I tried to ask the guy questions but he just started his spiel all over again instead of responding.

Called at 8 PM and after I told him he woke me up, he said federal law allowed him to call until 9.  Was rude and abusive and refused to tell me how to get my name off list.  (Thanks Misstress Saffire for that info)

Yeah I had that number call me and identify themselves as Sheriff's and Peace Officers, I just told them not interested and hung up.

I received a call tonight at 8:30 claiming to be the OK sherriff's office & peace officers.  They wanted money for Identify A Child.  When I told them I wasn't interested they said they understand that many people are financially strapped but he had a deal I would be interested in he would mail me an envelope and for just $10 they would appreciate a donation.  I told him we weren"t interested and hung up

They called me again today, but hung up when I answered the phone.  Probably because I was very rude to them last time and told that that if they call again, I would own their POS organization.

Called and it sounded like they used an autodialer. It was only on for a few seconds in a female voice said thank you and then a guy came on and started their spiel for wanting donations. Called at 8:55pm. Barely before cut off time. I am very leery of this. There was another association before on the local news who was using a name similar to the actual police association that was a false thing. They also wanted money for a child safe ID kit. Those are free whenever I've seen them and they wanted 10 bucks. I think this particular number is not the real police association.

They called my sister and asked if she could make a donatiion. She told them not at this time, that her husband had just had cancer surgery, and their funds were depleted. The caller then asked if possibly she could just donate 10 dollars. Obviously, they hadn't listened to a word she said!

When I answered the caller hung up-
I have told these people, to take my phone number off of the calling list, but it hasn't been done!
This is a weekly occurrence.
When I *69'd  back-I got an answering machine; with no answer-just seconds after they had called!

This number is nothing but a boiler room designed to part you from your money under very false pretenses. Do NOT donate unless you want to fund  a bunch of grifting, buck-toothed, fat-fingered, sweating-dripping cretins on their next trip to the local strip club. If you want to make a donation to OSPOA then contact them directly.

Sounds like a scam to me, I bet they are not even connected to OK County Sherriff's Office.  BTW, we just got a call but I didn't answer, just Googled the number because I wanted to know where/what it's from.  If I Google the number then the OK County Sherriff's Office's website should be the first one that comes up, that's how you know it's a scam!

This number 405-340-2668 shows to be James Lenon.  I don't know a Jame Lenon so I didn't answer. I don't like calls from unknowns!

Received a call at 7:35 pm, the Caller ID said OK Sheriffs Pea  which stands for Oklahoma Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association.  I did not answer, since I am on the Do Not Call List.   If the continue to call back, I will block their number.

They called me and asked for me. Don't know who gave them my number. But if you anywho reverse look up this number 405-3402668 it comes back as having two people listed in Edmond. The names listed is not the OSPOA. So I would say boiler room operation.

No, it's not the Oklahoma Sheriffs Association. This call comes from a boiler room call center that is a scam. The Oklahoma Sheriffs Association states on it's websites that they do not perform any telephone fundraising.

Just got a call from them at 8:59 and when I answered they hung up. I looked at the time and it was 9....guess the time limit thing cut them off.

I wouldnt give any personal info over the phone, but all they wanted were donations from someone that is making a lot less than the officers. Please be cautious about giving info over the phone.
