Phone rang twice, then whoever was calling, hung up. Left no message.

This # belongs 2 the sheriff's benefit drive asking 4 donations. Weather the $ actually goes to that charity, 1 would need to verify with the sheriff's dept. If it's legit. I did not donate any money myself.

The gentleman says that he is wanting donations; promoting do NOT text and drive for the officers.
He is QUITE pushy, but then it could be thought of as "enthusiastic". I am child of former OKC PD and then Cleveland County Sheriff Reserve Deputy; Oklahoma does NOT call for donations. That is why we VOTE for increases in the MAPS programs(% of our sales tax towards this); so that our law enforcement/fire department etc. are taken care of.  I looked at Bing and there are several instances of phone scams etc. I just found this and I would say NO way; http://www.consumertipsreports.org/what_you_n ... _donations.html

Asking for donations - no reply

Called here on Sunday no less. The phone rang 3 times then nothing. I did not answer and I do not donate over the phone nor by mail. I donate only to places that I have a working knowledge of their causes.

Repeatedly calls elderly and pushes for money. Claims to be a sheriff's charitable trust.

Calls and asks for me by name then hangs up
