I called back and got an automated message asking to press '1' to get my phone number on their do not call list.

get a call at least 3x a day.  they never say anything then eventually hangs up.

I just spoke to Montana Attorney Generals Office as it is a Montana area code however the business is a scam and isn't out of Montana.  The phone number is a VOIP (voice over IP) so it can't be tracked purchased through a company called Pacific Telecom Communications Group in Los Angeles who has a bad reputation.  I then called the FTC at 877-382-4357 to file a complaint.  They also said this sounds like a scam.  They have been calling me for over a month 4-7 times a day.  When they call just set down the phone and walk away or do something incredibly annoying that will force them to hang up on you. From now on I'm going to scream into the phone until they hang up.  I'll give them the same annoyance they give me everytime they call.

Most irritating - call constantly - will not remove your number from call list - they hang up on you if you call back - HATE peope that take up my time like this.

Thanks Sally for the info.  So they are using VOIP.  I get calls on my Verizon cell phone, and they show up as a city or town and different area code.  It's annoying, and if possible, am interested in pressing charges and bringing forth a lawsuit since it is harrassing and taking away my valuable time from my business phone.  Every one of the callers hangs up on you.  One idiot got into an argument with me claiming I called him!

Just another from Pacific Telecom's scamming customers - this firm is apparently an off-shore haven that skirts the Do Not Call lists by being an off-shore owner. To the best of my research, the LEC is also the parent company for the callers; something which is obviously a way of skirting the law.

Start answering as "Sgt. 'So-And-So'" at your local sheriff's office telephone fraud desk. Perhaps your Attorney General's consumer fraud office?

Same as CCGirl above, they hung up when my answering machine came on. I blocked them with my Time Warner Selective Call Blocking.

This is the second time they called. This time I pressed the number they said to put me on the do-not-call list. I know that is a waste of time, but I'll try once. I am on the federal list so there is no chance they will honor my request.

Last time I asked if they had a local office and the guy immediately hung up on me. It is important to have a local office if you get a home security system. To be frank, though, I would never do ANY business with a company that refuses to honor the do-not-call list nor with a security comany who makes cold calls at random.

I just got the same call which I too am on the do not call list. They hung up as soon as machine picked up.. Thanks for all the ideas to stop this if it continues...

This an unwanted sales call.  I am on the DO NOT call list.  I want to file a complaint and I would like to know what is done to the caller.

Started to give me a selling speel and I advise not to call and hung up. Caller ID shows name as Legend Lift
Map shows location is in Montana. Shows up on caller ID every day..

Called and hung up when machine picked up. listed "UNKNOWN NAME"

Spam: "the FBI reports a breakin every...." hung up

Creeps call every day 2 or 3 times.  MOST ANNOYING PEOPLE EVER!!  They need a swift kick and I would love to administer it to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
