Wondering where this call was from

Florida # on my caller id. It's a non-working #.

104 PM on 3/18/09.  Received an automatic call stating: 'this is card services calling to advise you that you are eligible to get a lower interest rate on your credit card.  Eligibility time is limited to get a 6.x% on your credit card to apply press "9" on your keypad now.'

Re: 1:04 PM call on 3/18/09.  The call was made to the 215 area code and 843 exchange.

I just received this call from this number on my cell phone. I pressed "9" and got Eric who asked me if I was calling in reference to the interest rate offer on my credit card and I told him "I'm on the federal do not call list" and he just hung up on me! What a prick!

got a call from this number. wanted to verify some info to see if i qualify for a lower interest rate. i needed to verify my home phone. i said i wasn't sure i wanted to since they called me. CLICK no one was there.  i am going to call my card company directly to ask about lowering my interest rate. THINK THIS IS A SCAM!!!!???????

called about lowering my interest rate. said they were from cardmember services. when i asked which company they were with they said again, cardmember services. i asked for which card... we service all cards, mc, visa,...

wanted my account number on a high interest card. i was getting suspicious so i told them i could not find the card and when i asked for a number that i could call back, they hung up.

Caller has repeatedly called over the last few days. Caller unknown. Leaves no message. This is getting old.

got a call about credit card interest rates. pressed 9 and got a woman.
got runaround,had some fun. she said it was my fault i got the call.
why can't these people get caught. explained I amm on the do not call list.

multiple calls from 407-000-1515, about credit card reduced intrest rate.   can not get removed. when you do get someone, they just hang up on you.

A recording about lower int. rates. I hung up.
I get the calls so often and a warranty offer.
I'm on the do not call list on land phone and cell.

RJ your link appears to be general and not for 407 000 1515.  I talked to the orginal caller and asked him to call back in 30 minutes.  He called back on 407-517-5950 Orlando Florida was on caller ID.. Someone who suggested that they are 'soft' numbers from calls originating from overseas may be correct.

Cincinnati Bell is not very helpful.  There 'Annoyance Call' office closes at 4 PM !  and you have to get a police report in order for them to set up 'trace call' ... these are not annoyances, they are Fraud.  When will the phone companies, credit fraud, attorneys general, and I guess Interpol get serious about this stuff ?

The 000 exchange is not legit. Many companies use this or other similar numbers because they know that most automated blocking tools will reject any attempt to key an 'invalid' block. Unfortunately, Caller ID does not check for 'invalid' numbers so there's a hole.

I've gotten several calls from these folks and have stated that I'm on the no call list and they hang up on me.  These #s should be blocked by phone companies from calling.

Got call on caller I.D with no message left, though I do have voice mail.  Am on NO CALL list both for my personal home phone and cell phone.  How are these calls continuing to be made without consequences?  Consider this harrassment.  Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!

Got this call today on my cell phone from "Cardmember Services".  Pressed 9 to speak to a live person.  Asked him which company he was calling from and he hung up on me.  I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list.
