Caller ID said Starnet Inc.  Sounded like one of the IRS phishing scams.  They claimed the Treasury Dept
had filed a criminal action against me and I need to contact them right away.

Claim to be treasury department , sounds like foreigners from a call center!

These scam callers pretend to be with the govt.  I called them off and told them there call would be recorded and they hung up

scam from david gray--caller said she was Sara Lee--official with treasury department--scam--all callers have Indian accent and reported I owed $5450 for 2013 taxes--couldnt produce any id for me except my listed name on phone and of course the money I owed and I would suffer the consequences of the federal govt if i did not pay this immediately...this is at least the 10th time I have received this nonsense call over 6 -8 months...is reporting this going to do any good at ALL?

The caller said it was a debt/via court fines...etc

Same as Derevo' s call.... 2nd call within last 10 minutes, different phone # (347-584-8795) from 1st... these calls are so annoying. Do they think we are so gullible?

just got anothercall from this number, claims it is from the govt, im in big trouble, send an amount of money immediately or dyer consiquences will happen, im on the do not call list, and it don't help/

Just got a second call from these tards. First one came from a Chicago area code a few months back. Told those scamming tards off then, too. Same guy on both calls. First time he was James Cafton ( Caston?? Couldn't tell). This time he was Dennis Craig, and the first name was his "Nick name". Riiiiiiiiiiight......

IRS/Treasury scam.

Caller identified himself as "Dennis Gray" and told me that the IRS enforcement action was filed against me - a criminal offense.  If I didn't respond to the call with a return call I would be appearing before a Grand Jury or a Federal Magistrate.  Sounded like a accented foreigner. I do not have any issue with the IRS and am well aware that the IRS makes contact via mail and not phone with the ability to appeal several times.  The call is nonsense and seems intended to panic the target into returning the call and, perhaps, paying some sort of pretend fine.  Just a guess.

Yep - same garbage about an "enforcement action. "  I blocked this caller.

This is the exact message (the parenthesis is where the wording was not clear.  Received this same message with a different phone number several weeks ago.  That phone was 612-315-6488.  I reported this on the Do Not Call on which I am registered but these calls continue.

This message is intended to contact you.  My name is Dennis Gray (or Craig).  I’m calling regarding an enforcement action (executed or secured) by the US Treasury intending  (this viewer’s attention).  Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense.  My number is 407–588-1689.  I repeat 407-588-1689.  I’d like for you to cooperate with us and help us to help you.  Thank you.
