It is Hilton Vacation Club.  Call the number back and ask to be taken off of their call list

Phone calls from this number at least twice a day.  They automatically hang-up once once you answer the phone.  I called the number and it ID as the Hilton Vacation Club.  I called to have my number removed from their system.  Once you choose an option you go on HOLD indefinitely.  No one ever picked-up.  I finally hung up after five minutes.

I had a phone call from them today and didnt' answer b/c I didn't know the #.  So glad I looked up your post.  I called it back, hit option 1 and the person that answered added me to their do not call list... it will take 72 hrs.

Thanks so much for the post!  They have been calling my cell for weeks.  I just called, hit option 1 and they added me to the do not call list.

Calls daily sometimes twice daily.  No message.  Hangs up or is computer dialed.  We have been on do not call list for years.

2 calls today 6/23/10 from 407-722-3891. Icalled the number and it is Hilton Teservation Center. I pressed 1 after reading the posts here and recieved a recorded voice to leave a message to cancel or modify a reservation. i did leave a message not to call my number and take it off there call list. I may have called to late to get a live person 1120pm cst.
I will call back thursday to see if i get a live operator.

Also got to the states website where you reside. california.gov and register on there and only there website. If you google do not call lists, only the ftc or federal trade commission has a legitimate do not call list, ftc.gov

We have received repeated calls which, when picked up are immediately disconnected. Is this just a computer glitch? Unless the Hilton Vacation club is casing my building, why would they bother to call?

Thanks for the info.  I called this number (407-722-3891) and talked to a Hilton Vacation Club rep.  The rep promptly complied with my request to have my phone number removed from its call list.  Telling the rep that I was tracing this call made the rep act quickly!

They are still calling from this number as of June 2011.  Hilton Vacations Club that is.

They're trying to get you to buy a vacation deal (in my case 7days, 6 nights Hawaii for $1,099) that includes a mandatory Time Share sales session of 2 hours.

You have to take the deal during the phone call and give them your credit card to book it. Then you can schedule the vacation in the next 12 month period.

High pressure sales person.

I checked out the resort and normally, the cheapest rate for that stay would be $2,000+. So if you're planning Hawaii anyway and can stomach the 2 hour sales pitch, maybe not a bad deal.

Otherwise, ask to be taken off the call list and walk away!

So folks, a few comments:

1.  This number is a Central Florida (probably Orange County, FL) number. If you are in timezones later than EDT, be aware that generally their call center here closes at 8PM ET.

2.  If you are a Hilton HHonors member, and have authorized them to contact you (and I believe they target higher level members), being on the do not call lists do not protect you from being contacted by them.  Requesting to be removed from their internal call list should resolve it though.  If not, you may have basis for legal action if the request was documented (if recording phone call, make sure that your state allows that) and you can prove subsequent calls after that point.

3.  JB has a good comment.  When I was living in VA, I actually took advantage of a similar offer from Marriott for Singer Island, FL (on the ocean near Palm Beach).  Interestingly enough, as the property wasn't completed as yet, they put us up at the Hilton on the island.  Yes, sitting through the pitch was a pain, but for a 4-day, 3-night paid-hotel vacay at a higher end location, it was a minimal price to pay.  That said, will leave each to determine their own paths....

I want to be taken off their list. I don't know how I got on it. When I call there is no response.

I have been getting calls from this number.  I know its Orlando and was happy to see that the mystery has been solved on who it is.

The comments from JB and GreenEyed sound so fake, like the company itself is having someone post them. This is yet another underhanded pitch. Never accept any of those offers, they are all bogus. The calls ARE coming from Hilton.

It's June 15, 2011 and I have been getting these calls twice a day on my cell phone for the past several weeks too...don't know how they got my cell phone number...I have never answered these calls since I don't know anyone in that area code.  Glad to know who it is.

My family and I also took advantage of a Marriott Vacation Club mini vacation in Hilton Head back in 2004.  It WAS a great deal, actually,  and the accommodations were very, very nice.  We did have to attend a time share presentation, but it wasn't nearly as obnoxious as one that we got roped into attending by another company in the Williamsburg, Virginia area back in 1989.  Thought we would never get away from that guy...

By the way... I am not employed by Marriott, Hilton or any other travel industry affiliate....and I do not own a timeshare and have no intentions of ever owning one.  These cheap deals can be well worth the price though if you can tolerate the sales pitch.  I do know they target certain income brackets--Marriott even has different types of vacation clubs for different income levels.  The more money you make, the nicer the vacation club, obviously.

I will no longer stay at Hilton properties because of this. Transferring my Hilton Honors points to Holiday Inn.   Later
