Call allegedly soliciting for FL State Troopers.

Said he was colecting for State Troopers.

These "state trooper" calls are very strange. If the caller is genuinely calling for donations on behalf of state troopers in florida, why do they have to use so many phone numbers? In the past 6 months, we have gotten calls asking for solicitation for the state troopers from the following phone numbers: 561-203-9983 813-413-4999 813-444-5672 407-505-6426 (spoofed) 941-462-1008 239-324-9740 305-602-3079 941-205-0061 239-243-9481 239-220-5920 239-220-5918 813-444-5677 (spoofed)

This is obviously some sort of scam. Since the beginning of the year I have gotten so many calls soliciting for "State Trooper" donations. If it is a legitimate charity, why do they have to use so many different numbers (some spoofed)? And why do they never have the name of their organization appear on caller ID? I'm sick and tired of it!

RECEIVED TOO MANY PHONES FROM THIS CREW.  IT IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.  STEER CLEAR.

407-792-0369   ---  I have already donated several times to the Florida Highway Patrol.  The last time was for doing 65 in a 55 mph zone.  If they wish for me to donate to them again, all they have to do is stop me and give me a ticket to pay. They probably get the same either way. Companies that solicit donations take the lion's share of every dollar they get people to donate.

This is a scam.  On my cell phone, I have received at least 15 different numbers starting with a 407 area code and they are all very similar.  They never leave a message and they never talk.  I blocked most of them with Mr. Number.
