I am being scammed from a man I met on Christian Mingle he claims his name is Paul Kappler from Lake Jackson, TX. He has been calling me from this number. He claims to be an engineer and is working a big contract with the government and he is in Florida at this time.  After a month of talking and emailing he told me that him and his crew were drilling that day and found two trunks of gold in the waters. He said he talked it over with his crew and they were going to split one and he was going to share the other with me. I was already feeling weird about the entire online relationship because it just seemed he was too good to be true so this was an immediate red flag. I chose to ignore the subject and 2 days later he called. He explained that he had to dispose of the trunks somewhere other than in Florida soon because he would be done with his contract in two days and would be going home. He said he wouldn't get paid for the job until it was inspected and approved that it was completed which could be 2 weeks and in the meantime asked if I could send him $2,000.00 so that he could have the trunks shipped to his home and then he could sell the contents there and split the amount with me. I told him that I think it would be best to do the right thing and call the proper authorities and perhaps they would give him a finders fee. He didn't like that answer and hung up on me. The next day he called me and said a friend had sent him the money, but now he needed me to send some money by western union to his teenage daughter in Maine so that she could go on a trip with her school that she so desperately wants to go on. I told him I would and he gave me this name and address to send the money to. Louise Bishop, 112 Tenney Hill Rd. Monson, ME  04464. I looked this address up and it is an automotive repair shop "Bishop's Garage". I didn't send any money and I have blocked his emails and calls.

Yes I also met a man from christian mingle, and he said his name is Darren McDonald and he was from New York and him and his crew are working in Florida, on a job that he got contracted with for the government, and he was e-mailing me about three weeks, saying how he was a church man and how much he really like me and that he's in Florida working on a contract job!! Then yesterday he text me first in said that one of the drill that two of his crew worker was working on caught fire and cause a small explosion and that they got hurt. Then he called my phone and like did you get my text, and he was saying that they was doing fine but still hurt and they are resting so I told him I'm glad to hear that, so then he told me he going to call me back cause him and his crew is cleaning up the explosining site, so later on he called me and he was like he so stressed out about what done happen and that the drill that suppose to had caught fire was damage in he need it fixed so he can finish up the contract so he can go back home after he finish the job, but he need a part to it he said it will be 1350 to fix the drill and get a part for it!! And then he said he called his best friend that lives in Maine said he only had two hundred dollars and ask me can I please send him the rest of the money and when he ask me for the that a flag went up for me because first of all I don't give no man my money and I don't know nothing about you I just met you and even if I know you I'm not unless you my brothers or a family so he lost me then. So I start questioning him and he kept saying do you trust me and that he want us to be together and I knew something was wrong then!! Then I start asking him to send me some proof of the explosion if it was one and the number to the hotel he was suppose to be staying and he was asking me why I didn't believe him and why I'm doing him like this and that he really wanted to be with me I wasn't like the others women's he used to be with I was different and he wanted to be with me. He told me he was divorce and then his wife died after 5 months they divorce, and that his parents both passed and his grandmother raised him, but she died and that he she raised him to be a good man to be and he looking for a good woman he can share his life with. He have an accent he said he is Spanish and mexican but he cant speak spanish he grand mother always use english with him all the time so I hope he get caught real soon so I'm never going on KNOWBODY site anymore it was my first time and last time. It's a guy on Facebook doing the same thing his name is Kenneth Hill on there so watch out ladies for the low life men's that is doing this mess the number he was calling me from us 407-494-5137 watch out for that number to!! Lets get this person please, and make sure christian mingle knows about it so they can do something different cause they letting just anybody on there site they not checking people's like they say that they are...

D.F. & Slendo, I read your posts and it sounds all to familiar.  The guy on Christian Mingle, engineer, needs money, Louise Bishop.   I would like to know if it's the same dude I've gotten emails from.  If we could all share a pic, we would know for sure.   The phone numbers are different, but everything else sounds basically the same!!

Wow! This story sounds familiar! A friend of mine was contacted and scammed by this same guy using facebook. He said his name was Charles Maloney and he lived in Plano, Texas. He worked on or owned oil rigs and had used all of his money to buy another one. However, he couldn't afford to feed the crew and needed her to send him $1000.00. He said his wife died and that his daughter Melissa Love or Melissa Scott - who also contacted my friend via facebook - was in private school in Maine. She was also contacted by this Louise Bishop who attempted to convince her this was legit. "Mr. Maloney" groomed my friend for a month before asking for money. The exact same story as above. This is a team of internet predators and they need to be stopped. Please save all written messages from this person. The phone number he used with her was 214-865-9349. It's attached to a Google account. There is an FBI tip line that you can use to report this type of crime. Use all of the pertinent information that you have. Phone numbers and addresses. Also Google reporting internet crime and you will find more useful sites. Let's stop these guys!

If you want a pic, go on Facebook and look up Charles Maloney. Scroll through to the second page. He is a older white male with graying hair. His profile talks about being educated in London and has some things listed that he is interested in. Nothing else. It has to be the same team of people. The name Louise Bishop is the same in all of these posts.

I have recently been scammed (did not send money, but it was close!).  A "LARRY JOHNSON" started messaging me on Facebook, he seemed so nice and sweet, church going, religious, single father of 14 or 15 year old daughter "Melissa".  Poor man was widowed 5 years ago when his wife was killed in a fatal car accident!  He lived in Austin, TX.  So many friends warned me to be careful, he was getting too much with the "we are together forever" lines, and a good friend had told me of a similar situation she had recently been in, but the guys name and story were quite different than poor widowed Larry!  
Within a week of messaging, he was leaving the following Monday for an Oil Rig Job in the Sea near London, UK.  He had a huge contract, he was supervisor of 12 other guys, etc, etc, blah, blah...I'm sure this is sounding familiar?
Earlier this week, he messages me, saying the drill was having problems and he needed $4000 for an Engineer to fly out and look at it, could I send him some money?  I don't have that kind of money, so I told him no!  Then it dropped to only a $1000.  Next I hear that it is a Drill Bit he needs t replace (what happened to the engineer?) And still needs $4000, but in a day or two of telling him no money, he is all like "you have a good job, when do you get paid?"  Still, I say I don't have that kind of money, so he suddenly has friends that will help out and now he only needs $1000.  
Once I say I still don't have money, "Don't you love me?  Don't you trust me?  What have I done that you won't help me?  If I don't get drill fixed I lose this contract"  I'm thinking you are smart enough to negotiate such a good contract for yourself and 12 men, but you don't have access to money needed for an emergency?
I almost took the bate, I ALMOST sent the money until I googled the name he wanted me to send the money to, and I found this site and all of the info above!  I thank you all for SHARING your info and stories!  I have also tried to let the 2 other women he has "friended" on facebook know about this scam and I hope they Google "Louise Bishop in Maine"  These Bas%#@s need to be stopped, it is so WRONG!!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...once he got to "London" he called me from and I called him back on a "Nigerian Satellite" Phone?  You have to dial a + then 243 (Nigeria code) then a ten digit number!  I should of known when he told me it was a Nigerian Satellite phone!!!  All I lost was quite a lot of long distance calls and the cost of those!

I met a man on Match and after a month he asked for money for his teenage daughters trip   . He was working on an oil rig off of Florida then needed money to do repairs to the rig before he got paid from the contract. He asked that money be sent to Louise Bishop at 112 Tenney Hill Road, Monson, Maine. The man's name is Scott Fisher and the number he is calling from is 407-494-5137. He claims to be bron is California but grew up in Spain which explains the accent and poor grammar.

I too met a man on Christian Mingle ~ his name is Richard Kafel.  He has a 15 yr old daughter living with her "godmother" Louise Bishop in Monson, Maine and attends Foxcroft Academy.  His wife died 5 yrs ago of cancer.  His phone number is 985-267-9583 BUT the story is the same as lamby & Heathers.  I unfortunately, I was far too trusting - after all - we were going to be married and he needed my help.  I did send money.  He is incredibly smooth - his knowledge of the bible is quick and accurate.  His father was from Rothbury, MI (where Richard still has a home) and his mom lives in Rio where he was raised.  He works on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.  Not one speck of this is true.  My brother recently shared "Oil Rig Date Scam Site"  with me - I wish I'd known about earlier as Richard's and my relationship was exactly as scripted on the Oil Rig Date Scam Site.  To a T & I fell for it and believed.  My brother was kind enough to say I was good at my job and this is his job and he's very good at it. And that I was a victim.
I wish I had seen this site with Louise Bishop's name the first time I searched for her name.  I have turned my situation to the St Police, FBI & have completed an IC3 form.  I also notified Christian Mingle, Foxcroft Academy and the Oil Rig Date Scam Site
Though his phone number is different than the others, the MO is the same & Louise Bishop is in the story as well.
Western Union has been contacted and her name as well as Kosin Jite & Urhobo Festus have been put on a block list in case someone tries to WU them money - it's blocked from being able to be sent.

You should do a Tineye search if you have a pic of him. It searches internet pics for a match. It brought me to Romance Scammers and there are a pile of stories and pics of this low life. He has about 10 different names. I set up a bogus email and emailed all the email accounts associated with his pics and not one bounced back.

The girl is a Canadian teen porn star.  She's on her own.  Josie Ann Miller is her name.

Joe Hameed who can be found on the internet posing as an engineer is somehow involved with Scott Fisher.

Man...this is unbelievable.  I have pictures of children and of scammer.  These stories are too close for comfort.  One thing, I will make sure that my scammer will not get away with this.  I have too much evidence.  This is really sad.  My heart is broken as well. I am a bull dog and I've lost too much.  I wish there was a way that we all could communicate privately as Ms. Bishop is aware of this site and alerts her "scammers".
