I got a text from this number: 407-982-0443 advising me to call: 888-907-6309 regarding Night Auditor position that I had applied to from this Craigs List ad: http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/fbh/2609615680.html.  They have a great dialer/phone system that identifies you to the agent based on the number that you are calling from & pulls up your file for your "application verification from THE EMPLOYER NETWORK".  I had already tried to do a reverse phone # look up for the 888 number before I called but it didn't pull so I thought it might be legit.  Well, after the "application verification & now I am going to be emailed the official application to complete on-line" then the agent changes hats & is now representing THE CAREER INSTITUTE who wants to put me in contact with educational & grant opportunities. & within 5-30 minutes of the initial call I have already received two calls back from the educational opportunites: CONCORD CAREER INSTITUTE & FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGE.  The call from CONCORD sounded like she was in a 100 seat call center & she wanted to schedule my interview with the Admissions Director & tour.  It is only now that I have located all of this scam info & want to help to warn others.

These companies should be jailed or fined for misrepresentations; to those of us who are unemployeed & just trying to seek legitimate employment.

I also keep receiving the same text. I yelled at them yesterday! I knew it was a scam when they tried to get me to sign up for stuff at the end of the call. But they should be shut down! It pisses me off that they are getting peoples hopes up that need work!

I felt pretty sure it was a scam -- why did they text, after all? -- and when I saw it was for a Front Desk position, I know I haven't applied to one of those from Craigslist Orlando in a month since discovering that almost all of them were scams. So thank you for confirming my instinct.  It is so sad having to deal with all these scams, but at least we can try to keep each other informed.  Good luck to all of you!

thanks for the post, I  just received the text, I love people like you. I am 55 years old and unemployed. Computers are wonderful.
