- StellagJust got this recorded call on my cell phone claiming my debit card is frozen and press 1 for the credit dept. Phoned the number back and got a recording directing callers to various services including janitorial. Definitely a scam.

- MelanieI received a recorded message wich I believe said they were calling from First National Credit Union regarding my debit card that had been compromised and frozen. Then asked me to press 1 to reactive or 2 to talk to a security specialist (which I did not).

- BobRobot call illegally made to cell phone noon PST Dec. 12th, 2011. I think same fake robotic female voice, First National Credit Union, called my home phone too, some time ago. "Press 1 to talk to fraud dept." I think it said "Press 3 to stop reminders." I hung up instead.
I was driving on freeway at the time, in another call, and had to look at phone to tap "Answer" button.
These awful robocall scammers need to be prosecuted to the full extend of the law, and put out of business.- Caller: First National Credit Union
- What?? replies to laughableme too! must be a new scam, quick google search of the number pulls up a "phishy" website based in San Jose, everything looks shady about it.. f'ing weird!
- ChuckThere is an auto-dialer calling all of San Jose systematically and using the return CID of (408) 260-3200. If you are unaware of this practice please see the Wikipedia article on CID Spoofing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing this is a common tactic used by scammers and is quite easy to do.
Calling this number back will leave you with more questions than answers. The "company" making these dials has been reported to the local police department for violation of "Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010". http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2010/ ... ng-voip-too.ars
If you have fallen for this scam, contact your bank immediately and determine the best course of action.- Call type: Prank
- RoboCallsSuckGot the same, but pressed one. I hope that doesn't entitle them to use my account or something. Ugh.
