Said my computer had a virus

Got a call from someone who said my computer was going to crash.  Said he worked for Pinnacle (which is doubtful).  After I stupidly allowed him access to my computer I found aav3.exe in my downloads.  Fortunately, I shut him off before he could activate it.  Also wanted my credit card number to pay him for fixing my computer.

CLSID Scam/ ("Sales Tactic") - I just got a call from Sean, a 'Microsoft support technician' telling me that 50% of my Microsoft applications were not working, and he was calling to "Help me with this problem".
While trying to find out where he worked, his location changed from Calgary, AB (my location) to Freemont, CA and a phone number of his office changed from MY phone number to this number 408-498-3608.

I seems like a lot of computers have the same CLSID and Tech support guru 'Sean' has no idea what's going on with YOUR computer until you allow him to download a program onto your computer.
Don`t give them any information or allow them download anything onto your computer.
