Report a phone call from 408-587-2116 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- MarabelleRecording when you answer says you have one a trip to Cancun. A friend of yours put your name in a draw at Bloomingdales, Macy's etc and they pulled your name. Bull I don't know anyone in the States. when you don't answer one of the three options it cuts you off.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- percythey call saying they can reduce your credit card debt but when you ask who the company is or to get more information they hang up..... ph number belongs to didgit com of los angeles.... when i called theyre they had real attitude and acted like they didn't really giv a rats ass... took the number and said they'd have me taken off the list so they wouldn't call me any more.... then hung up... I called back and told the guy I hadent finished asking my questions and why did he just hang up on me and was told "well you're not one of our customers" GREAT COMPANY
- Caller: didnt say
- amnotamouse"NEW CAR WARRANTY" SCAM!
Says it is the final notice (before the next final notice). The big mistake is when you press the number to be removed for their calling it just confirms to their machines that it is a good number.
It's bad enough getting stuck with the dribble from the political "surveyors" that the politician protect their own cespool.
Makes one want to just go totally OFF GRID, doesn't it? - jackmacWhy are there SO many sleazy outfits in the southern USA???
I'd be embarrased to live in Florida.
Seems like they're drawn to the south like flies to... - san ramon, caa man's voice says "this is second notice that your car warranty expires" blah blah. so annoying.
- seattle, waWarranty scam previously I got the same call from 562 289 8136. I used to just let them go to voice mail but now I just have fun with them by calling them names and and using expletive terms pointed at them that would make Andrew Dice Clay blush. I figure the longer I keep them on the phone, the less they can harass others. If you get these calls have fun with them and let then get angry instead!
- S in Oregonthey left a voicemail, first half was cut off, I heard "about your car press #, if you want to be removed press #...) I almost called the number back be decided to google it first and up came this scam info. Thanks guys!
- joshgot two calls so far today; didn't answer either. They left no message.
- Vancouver, WAIf this # calls, just answer and scream into the phone. Or a fog horn or whistle works well too. =)
- Olympia, WAIt is the same freakin' call I get from 562-289-8136. They seem to be hitting Northwest numbers hard right now. I've already filed a complaint with the FCC, but I still get the calls! Everyone needs to call the phone company supplying their service to complain. Maybe they'll get disconnected for a while. In another forum the following information was given for the phone company supplying the phone numbers to the scammers. It was listed as follows...
"Digitcom Services
12923 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066
Phone (310) 358-7000
(800) 464-5446
Fax (310) 437-4105" - Olympia, WAAlright, so I called DigitCom and they claim not to be affiliated with the numbers, but forwarded me to another company's number,
1-800-461-6675.
I called that number and the man who answered was lame. I told him I was calling to get off the calling list of a scam warranty company and his reaction was. "Well, I don't know that its a scam..." My reply was, "Well they're calling my unlisted cell phone number...which is illegal. I would call that a scam." His odd defensive attitude towards the scammers made me nervous so I asked if he represented the company making the calls or if he represented the phone company supplying their service. He NEVER GAVE ME A CLEAR ANSWER! He said he could get me off their list, but he was so shady that I didn't want to hand my number over to him.
Anyway, if nothing else, I've obtained a number where everyone can voice their frustrations...
1-800-461-6675 - BMReceived call on my cell phone: An automated message informed me that this is their second and final notice that my auto warranty was expiring soon. I hit "1" to get a person on the line, and when I asked the lady which car this notice applies to, she immediately hung up on me. That skanky [***].
- CRCalled even though my number is on the Do Not Call List. Annoying.
- Caller: Unknown
- SI've been receiving calls from these car warranty scam people for the past 2-3 weeks.. and I don't even have a car...plus my number is unlisted. Definitely annoying.
- DollyI have been receiving repeated calls from this number with multiple claims, from car insurance, car warrenty, credit card scams, credit check scams. I am on the do not call list which is quite obvioulsy useless and perhap a scam in it self for since I have been on this list the calls have increased. I have informed my DA.
- Caller: don't know
- monty mirandacalled and hung up
- Caller: AT&T
- Josh JusticeCalled hung up
- supergirl Vai got called on my cell phone and it was an automated voice message saying that my warranty about my car was about to expire....haha and i don't even have a car....it said press 1 to talk to one of their agents. i figured it was a scam but i wanted to talk to them anyway and say that i didn't even own a car! the guy immediately hung up on me!!
- lollyI'm pretty sure that this scam is just one of many identity theft rings operating. I had many "hang-ups" from this number until i finally decided to answer a call yesterday 2/5/08. There was a male voice telling me that my warranty on my car was about to expire, and this would be the last message i would be receiving to this effect before my warranty was canceled. It said press "1" if you'd like to speak to an agent regarding this matter. When an "agent" came on the line he asked me for the year, make and model of my vehicle. i asked him "who is calling" he said "James" - I asked "what company are you with?" and he hung up. I'm almost certain they will try and get to a point where they are asking for current address, and other info, as well as social security number...PLEASE tell everyone you know not to ever, ever, give out their social security number. It is very difficult (and expensive) to reverse the damage once your identity is stolen!
- Caller: they didn't say
- fed updid not call the number but it called my cell phone twice.
getting tired of these companies abusing the number list.
