I just  got a phone call  from this number

This number rang my cell phone twice last night, at 1:57AM and again at 2:00AM (EDT US (no messages were left).  At 2:01 AM, a text message came in from 837-401 with the body reading, “69333がお客様のYahoo JAPANアカウントキーです“.

Just did a little research and found out this is a group of scammers trying to gain access to devices.  Someone wrote about it at https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/194117- ... n-phone-number/.

Got a call from this number this am....I was sleeping....and didn't answer it

Got a call from 408 610 4900 and gave me a code no. I heard her voice before. so checked it out said it was AOL. not AOL.

I got a call from 408-610-4900 at 4:39 AM!! There was a nonsensical voicemail message left (something about Yahoo), then I got another call 1 minute later and another message left. Then a 3rd call 1 minute later, at 4:41 AM! The same voicemail was left all 3 times! I wish I knew who to yell at for waking me up at that hour!!

got two calls from this number just now - Aug 5, 2019 , claiming from AOL.

same thing .. I got a call from this number at 10:36 PM Eastern Time although, I am in the UK where it is now 3:36 .. I called the number back and a message saying something about "if you received a code" blah blah... it's to do with accounts / email, etc. I think.  I think it's spam/scam

I have recieved several "calls" from this number, at 4 AMmy time, I checked and think this is some moronic sales number from the west coast. I wasn't able to leave a message but they were probably fortunate, waking me a 4 AM with a sales call is not a smart idea.

yahoo sent me a robo phone call on getting a code to verify that this is not a scam from someone using my yahoo email account.....need this 6 digit code to get into my yahoo email account...says i have been receiving strange activity on my yahoo.com email account...which is not sure...i use my email once a day to check on messages and thats all....not really sure what yahoo.com is up to but the company has been going downhill for years now...just the sign of the times...

Number (408)610-4900 called my number but I didn't answer it said it was from verify....
I guess I don't understand if it's spam why the hell is the phone company allowing this number to go through and why these people are not arrested

This IS AOL sending a verification code to the phone on the account. YOU are getting the call because someone is trying to hack your account and because you've protected your account, the call for the code is coming to you. It stops with you. But change your password to be safe
