I just missed a call from this number. weird.

I missed a call from this number. Scum

this number just called my office and when I answered there was no one at the other end..

claimed to be representing my antivirus software.

It's insane.  I come to work to find that at 8.43PM, that number had called.  Of course, no message left.

I don't understand why not only telemarketers, but the companies that hire them, don't get one simple concept.

Those of us on the National Do Not Call List, DO NOT WANT CALLS!  And in fact, when harassed by these idiots, makes us take note of the offending company and we will refused to buy their products in the future, even if we need such a product.

They don't get that.

Robo-dialers outside of Canada are under no obligation to respect a DNC list in Canada. It's easier to block the number than complain about it.

Received a call from this number but didn't recognize it.
Area Code 408 is somewhere in southern California.  I can understand shyster telemarketers routing through Aruba or the Bahamas something, but the US?  It's an insult.  I let it go to voice mail but of course, no message.

Caller ID is easily spoofed. even though it appears to be a California area code, the caller could actually be anywhere in the world...  Other campaigns of recent times would actually take your area code and prefix and change the last 4 digits to make it look like someone locally was calling, and increase the chance you would answer.

A long voice activated recorded message supposedly from Jeff - offering me 2000 vacation points. Then it put me on to a real person who said his company was
Newport Escapes, 167 Collins Ave, Miami, Florida 33160. When I asked why he was calling me from California, he insisted he was calling me from sunny Florida. I let him go on with his spiel about the incredible vacation that he claimed was only going to cost me $998.00. Then I told him off and told him  where to go. There was no further mention of the 2000 vacation points.

No one seems to be smart enough to stop them so we have decided to spam them from our iPhones and then block their numbers so they can't call us our cells.  We send hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of text to landline messages because they are terrorizing us even though we have registered with the DNCR and ask them to stop.  Greedy pigs.  We cannot help but wonder what would happen to these annoying telemarketers if EVERYONE did this to them…. ;)

604 430 1091 and 458 201 1298 and 206 445 6301 and 361 400 1007 and 408 618 5204 and 702 520 5283 are relentless greedy telemarketers even though we are on the DNCR.  We spam them from our cells to attempt to be a little more annoying than they continue to be.  We send HUNDREDS of texts to them.  Seriously, we can build a space station and live where no one should be able to survive but no one can stop these infuriating [***] from terrorizing us on the phones that we work very hard to pay for????????!!!!!!!!  Pretty soon EVERYONE is going to drop their land lines BECAUSE of these [***].  And block them on your iPhones.

I tend to store the numbers under interesting titles like "telemarking [***]", "[***] stalker,"...then when they call I can have a laugh as I ignore their ring

The problem is, that after a certain amount of time they (as in the company collecting and ensuring the no call list) sell your number to another agency, ensuring they make a profit off your number and you continue getting calls from them. There is actually no such thing as "consumer privacy", as essentially any company has the right to sell any information they "own" about you to the highest bidder. Shareholders > consumers....doesn't seem right.  Best of luck with the calls though, and I hope they don't bother you at work anymore.

I agree as well, I WILL NOT buy products of companies that harass on the phone!
