Report a phone call from 409-242-3080 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- CindyWhen I called the number back, it doesn't ring, it just says "not in data base"
- CraigI am on the DNC list.
My number is a cell phone.
The prerecorded message instructs one to press #1 to talk to someone about lowering your interest rate on credit cards.
WTF!!!!
I'm on the DNC list.
Once connected, I instructed the telemarketer that I am on the do not call list and it is illegal (per FTC regulation) to telemarket to a cell phone. She said, she did not make the call. She then began to instruct me on what "I" needed to do about her calling - or not calling- me. I cut her off and said, I have done everything I legally should have had to have done. Furthermore, your company must put me on your do not call list and give me the name of your company, so I can report you to the FTC.
You know what she did...
Hung up.
I called the number (409) 242-3080 as it is shown on my caller ID. There is a quick prerecorded message, I think it denotes the name of the company-but its too quick to recognize what is being said- then the call is disconnected.- Caller: ??
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KatieThis number called my cell phone - I didn't answer as I didn't even recognize the area code and no message was left. A reverse phone look-up said "not a valid number"
- marnaJust a missed call, but still annoying.
- Mike| 1 replyDidn't answer unrecognized number. As marna said, still annoying. DNC list registrations confirmed.
- LM Taters replies to MikeThis number is a CONFIRMED SCAM. Their M.O. is to get your info and use your credit card #'s and wipe you out. They will claim the name of their business is 'Acoount Services'. Dont be fooled. They have been operating this scam for a long time and switch numbers when the current one is found out. Nothing more than another low brow Florida crime ring.
- Sam| 1 replyI'm so sick of these people calling me. I don't even carry a balance on my credit card. Can someone out there pleas report them because I have no idea how.
- E| 1 replyHow did these SCUMBAGS get my number?!
- JenCNYThis number keeps calling my cell phone. I have no idea how they have my cell number. Plus I'm on a Do Not Call Register. It says the are account services to lower my interest rates. Consider I have no balance on my credit card and it's already a very low interest rate I highly doubt they could help me. I want them to stop calling but as soon as I say something they hang up on me. Why isn't there more people can do to protect themselves against stuff like this? We can put men on the moon but we can't stop internet, phone call, identity theft scams? Give me a break
- Caller: Account Services ?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LouiseI had the number come up on my caller ID 409-242-3080 with the location in Beaumont,TX
- Cassi replies to SamGo to donotcall.gov and file a formal complaint. The more complaints they get, the more likely they are to file a lawsuit.
- KPexperience exactly the same as described above:

- lsI have received multiple calls from "Beaumont TX". Their recorded message is scripted similarly to the calls I get multiple times per day from "IMPORTANT" at various numbers, a message about lowering interest rates. When I press "1" to be connected to a live operator, the live person uses a similar script to the calls from "IMPORTANT" also. The live rep hung up on me when I complained about my repeated requests for removal from the list (using both their automated "press 2" method and speaking to a live person). I phoned 409-242-3080 back and got a message, "You are not found in our database". LOL, I know our number is there because they call so much! By pressing "1" to speak to the representative at these places, I have confirmed without a doubt that the calls are going to the same call center. This is because on the occasion when I reached the same representative, I recognized his voice and when I said so, he remembered me from speaking to me the day before! I think it is important for investigations to be able to link the numbers of these telemarketers, so that they know the calling network they are dealing with and can correlate the pseudo-numbers used. The "IMPORTANT" caller IDs using a similar script have called from 856-229-9060 and 302-327-9010 (among many other numbers also). They call multiple times per day and do not honor requests to be removed from the list. We are on the DNC list, have an unlisted number, and I have lodged repeated complaints with the DNC complaint center.
- Caller: Beaumont TX (financial scam about reducing interest rates)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- WilliamI answered, pressed 1, and promptly received a rep. She asked me if I pressed 1 because I was interested in lowering my interest rate. I responded by asking her what company she worked for. She said Card Member Services, the one that does my bank statements. I responded by asking her which banks they work for. She hung up.
Hope they get shut down, prosecuted, and imprisoned to the fullest extent of the law soon. Obvious scam.
BTW, I'm on the DNC list.- Call type: Telemarketer
- LoriekGot a call but the customer service person who answered refused to give me information on his company and got nasty and hung up when I told him I was on the "do-not-call" list.
- Caller: Cardholder Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Rascachu replies to Eautodialing
- TX CitizenYou will have to file complaints with the Beaumont Better Business Bureau and the Texas State Attorney General. The DNC list is not going to stop these idiots. I have a call log with many of the 409-242-xxxx numbers used.
