Received a text from this number claiming to be AT&T but it was obvious that the message was a hoax and asked for my zip code.  I'm reporting this number.

I got a text asking who I was.
The person called themselves: "Mitch McPherson"

A text with something like "Please respond with 5 digit area code... Thanks ATT account services."

Same text - from "At&t Account services" wanting my zip code.  I'm reporting as well to AT&T and Attorney General's Consumer Fraud.

Received a text out of the blue from this number stating, "Breaking News: Work at home positions av".  I don't think so...too good to be true.

My guess is that everyone posting here is an AT&T mobile customer getting this text garbage.

Spammers are sending email SMS messages thru AT&T's email to SMS text gateway.  Spammers can run a sequential number generator to dial all numbers in a given area code by just spamming your 10 digit number to 0123456789@txt.att.net

You can try it yourself by sending an email to your 10digitphonenumber@txt.att.net

If you are getting charged per text message you should call AT&T to complain and get a refund.

Text message from Caleb that I couldn't make sense of.
This came to my Tracfone.
More came from 4100000001 & 4100000002 that somehow jammed my message function with an error message that I also couldn't understand.
Had this phone since 2007 and no problems until now.
Creeps who do this.
I ended up filling up my own message box so nothing would come through.
Don't know if this Caleb person is the same spammer who forced me to shut down my Yahoo account with a barrage of spam from Cobone and Travian. Also received spam that I guess is Arabic that I can not read.
This stuff creeps me out so I will just close accounts and toss the phone.

Got a text from that number and a similar # ending w/ 2 as follows:

received a text this morning at 6 am mountain time. It was sent to many numbers "just saying hi"

I got this message a few minutes ago, don't know who the heck sent it to me.

I got a text from this number that said "MSG: congrats winner/ 50,000.00 cash/ iphone4/ Facebook Anni Promo/ claim your prize/ email/fblotto1@yahoo.com."  It also said that the sender's name was Robert Johnson.  I Googled the number 1 (410) 000-0010 and it looks like lots of other people are getting suspicious text messages from this number too.  It seems to be some kind of scam to collect information.

I received a text as well and replied that they will be reported to the National Do Not Call List. I proceeded to file my complaint. Glad I registered my number.

I got a text today from this same number 410-000-0001 person who sent it said it was Travis.

I get texts from this number saying that after repeated attempts to get cash from my "credit card" they are blocking it, and call "1-919-481-9115 to reactivate the card.

If you call the number, an electronic voice answers, tells you there is no live person to speak with, then asks for your credit card number!  Like I'm going to fall for that crap!  I just called to see who was doing this and tell them to stop

It is from an AT&T so I am going to call AT&T and report this and ask for a refund of my Net10 minutes that were used up on these stupid texts.

Rec'd text message saying -$251.00 overdrawn on my Credit Union account as of 2pm. Msg sent at 7pm.  Came from 410 000 0001-called AT&T-they asked that I send them the message.  When I gave the no. the call came from the rep said oh yes that is a fake call. They wanted me to call 646 524 1304.  After sending them the msg I deleted it.  Oh by the way-I have never given my cell fone no for a call on any account.  You can use my home no.  Phishing.
